Pilou Addon
Every World of Warcraft player knows the small frustrations that pile up over a play session: retyping the same chat channel, clicking through role checks, closing the same group window, and losing track of how much gold you actually made this week. The Pilou Addon is a lightweight quality-of-life addon built to smooth out exactly those rough edges. It does not overhaul your UI or add flashy new systems; it quietly removes repetitive clicks and keeps a tidy record of what you did, both in your current session and across your WoW week.
One thing to know up front: the in-game interface is currently French only. The options themselves are simple checkboxes, so the addon remains usable, but English speakers should be aware of this before installing. If that is not a dealbreaker, there is a lot here to like.
Chat Module: Stop Retyping Your Channel
The chat module lets you assign a default channel to each chat window. Pick a channel per tab, whether that is /s, /p, /g, /i, /w Name or a numbered channel like /1, and the addon applies it every time you open the chat input. If the channel is unavailable, for example when you are not in a group or not in a guild, the chat safely falls back to Say. You can also choose to apply your default channel every time instead of the last channel WoW remembers, and decide whether the / key applies it too. Each rule can be paused without being deleted, which makes experimenting painless.
Group Module: Fewer Clicks, Fewer Mistakes
The group module is where the Pilou Addon saves the most time. It can auto-accept role checks and queue proposals using your current role, though this is disabled by default. When you join a group through the Group Finder, a join announcement shows the activity and group title in your chat, so a Mythic+ keystone level stays visible. The "You have joined a group" window closes automatically, while real invitations are never closed for you. Auto-accept can be limited to friends and guild members, and invitations from strangers are never accepted. In dungeons, raids and scenarios, single-option dialogues are picked automatically, but never in the open world or for quests. Finally, an accept key such as Space can confirm invitations or sign-ups while those windows are open, keeping its normal action the rest of the time.
HUD and the Dungeon Teleport Button
When you create or join a Group Finder dungeon group, a teleport button appears for the matching dungeon teleport if you know it. New seasons work without an update. Left click teleports, right click and drag moves it, and Shift plus mouse wheel resizes it, with position and size saved. It follows the group when the leader switches dungeon and hides after the teleport, inside an instance, when you leave the group, or when the leader delists an incomplete group. An optional glow makes it easy to spot. Talking head windows, including voice, close automatically and this is on by default.
Installation and Compatibility Across WoW Versions
Learning how to install the Pilou Addon is straightforward: place the folder in your Interface/AddOns directory and enable it on the character select screen. Compatibility is worth checking before you download Pilou Addon, since the addon targets modern Retail while Classic, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm and MoP clients may require a matching build. For players who prefer a simpler route, the foxygame.net launcher handles the whole process, offering one-click install and automatic updates so your Pilou Addon stays current without manual file shuffling. Addon compatibility can shift with each patch, so keeping it updated matters.
The Bilan Tab: Your Session and Weekly Summary
The summary window, or Bilan tab, tracks four periods: current session, previous session, current week and previous week, following the game's weekly reset. It records gold gains and expenses by source, including loot, quests, vendors, the auction house, repairs and item upgrades, with Warband bank transfers shown separately. It also logs item level progress, upgrade track progress, items obtained, sold and disenchanted, achievements, Mythic+ rating changes, currencies, Great Vault slots, raid bosses, keystones, delves, Prey hunts, renown, quests and new collections. Sections can be collapsed, reordered and hidden, with several display styles available. Open it from the minimap button, the bag button, the addon compartment or the /pao bilan command.
Commands and Final Thoughts
- /pao or /pilou opens the options window.
- /pao chat, /pao groupe and /pao hud open specific tabs.
- /pao bilan opens the summary, with options and style subcommands.
- /pao tp shows the teleport button for placement.
- /pao status, /pao debug and /pao bilan diag help with troubleshooting.
Settings and summaries are saved per character, and the summary only counts what happens while the addon is installed and loaded. The accept key and teleport button cannot change during combat, updating once combat ends. There are no external libraries, which keeps things light. For players who value a cleaner, quieter interface and a clear picture of their progress, the Pilou Addon is a practical addition to any setup.
