BetterBags - Vertical Layout
Inventory management in World of Warcraft has always been a love-hate relationship. You collect hundreds of items, and before you know it, your bags are a chaotic mess of tabs and categories. If you already use BetterBags, you know how much cleaner your inventory can be. But what if you could make it even better? Enter BetterBags - Vertical Layout, a plugin that transforms your bag interface into a single, scrollable page with collapsible groups. No more clicking through tabs; everything is right there in one smooth vertical stack.
What Does BetterBags - Vertical Layout Do?
BetterBags - Vertical Layout for World of Warcraft is a plugin for the popular BetterBags addon. Instead of separate tabs for each group, it stacks all your groups vertically on one page. Each group has a collapsible header, so you can expand or collapse sections with a simple left-click. This means less clicking and more time actually playing the game. The layout is fully scrollable, with bag and bank heights capped to a percentage of your screen, ensuring smooth navigation even with hundreds of items.
Key Features at a Glance
- Vertical stacking: All groups appear on a single page, eliminating tab switching.
- Collapsible groups: Left-click any group header to collapse or expand it instantly.
- Group reordering: Drag headers or use the right-click menu to move groups up and down.
- Group management: Create, rename, and delete groups directly from the context menu.
- Category drag: Drag categories between groups just like you would with tabs.
- Bag slots: Embedded bag slot buttons appear under the search bar when Show Bags is active.
- Works with bags and bank: Enable or disable the vertical layout independently for each.
Supported Game Versions and Compatibility
One of the best things about BetterBags - Vertical Layout is its broad compatibility. Whether you play Retail or any Classic flavor, you are covered. The addon fully supports Retail, Classic Era, TBC Classic, Wrath Classic, Cataclysm Classic, and MoP Classic. Even Classic+ and WoW Forever are supported. This means you can enjoy the same streamlined inventory experience across all your characters and game versions. Just make sure you have the core BetterBags addon installed, as this is a plugin and requires it to function.
If you want a hassle-free way to keep your addons updated, the foxygame.net launcher offers a convenient addon catalog where you can find and install BetterBags - Vertical Layout with a single click. The launcher also handles auto-updates, so you never have to worry about missing a new version or compatibility patch.
How to Install BetterBags - Vertical Layout
Installing the plugin is straightforward. First, download BetterBags - Vertical Layout from your preferred addon source. Remember that BetterBags itself is required, so install that first if you haven't already. Once both are in your AddOns folder, launch World of Warcraft and open your bags. You will immediately see the new vertical layout with stacked groups. To customize settings, right-click your bag frame, go to Plugins, and select Vertical Layout. From there, you can tweak group behavior, reorder categories, and adjust the scroll height to your liking.
Using the Addon Day to Day
After installation, your inventory management becomes much more intuitive. Groups are already stacked vertically, and you can collapse any group you don't need at the moment. Dragging categories between groups works just like it did with tabs, but now everything is on one page. The embedded bag slots under the search bar give you quick access to your backpack and other bags without opening separate windows. Whether you are sorting reagents, gear, or quest items, the vertical layout keeps everything organized and accessible.
Why You Should Try It
If you are tired of tab fatigue and want a cleaner, more efficient inventory, BetterBags - Vertical Layout is a must-have. It integrates seamlessly with BetterBags and works across all major World of Warcraft versions. The collapsible groups and drag-and-drop management make it easy to tailor the layout to your needs. Plus, with support for both bags and bank, you get a consistent experience everywhere. Give it a try, and you will wonder how you ever managed without it.
