Acurrucarse en el Regazo Adultos/Lie on Lap Interaction x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL
If you have ever wished your adult Sims could share a quiet, affectionate moment on the couch without resorting to cheesy animations, the Acurrucarse en el Regazo Adultos/Lie on Lap Interaction x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL mod is exactly what your gameplay needs. This Spanish translation brings the beloved "Lie on Lap" interaction by Mercuryfoam to Spanish-speaking players, making it easier than ever to enjoy cozy domestic scenes in The Sims 4. Whether your Sims are dating, married, or just best friends, this interaction adds a layer of warmth that the base game simply lacks.
What Does This Translation Add to Your Game?
This file is purely a language pack. It converts the text prompts, pie menu labels, and notification messages of the original mod into natural, fluent Spanish. You will see "Acurrucarse en el Regazo" appear in the interaction menu instead of the English text, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your Spanish-language game. The translation covers all adult-to-adult variations, ensuring that every possible pairing—from young adults to elders—gets the same polished treatment.
Before you download, keep in mind that this is a translation only. You must have the original mod installed from Mercuryfoam's Patreon post. The translation does not replace the animation files; it simply overlays the Spanish text. Also, be aware that this mini mod is incompatible with the standalone animation pack for posing created by the same author. If you use both, conflicts will arise, so pick one or the other for your gameplay.
Requirements for Acurrucarse en el Regazo Adultos/Lie on Lap Interaction x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL
To get this working smoothly, you need two essential files. First, the original mod from Mercuryfoam, which you can find by searching for "Lie on Lap beta" on their Patreon. Second, you need the XML Injector. This tool is required because the interaction uses advanced scripting to appear in the correct pie menu. If you do not have the XML Injector, the mod will not show up in your game at all. The good news is that the XML Injector is a one-time install that works across many mods, so it is worth adding to your library.
Once you have both files, the installation process is straightforward. Download the translation file, extract it if necessary, and place the .package or .ts4script file into your Mods folder. Make sure to enable script mods in your game settings. After restarting The Sims 4, the interaction should appear under the "Friendly" or "Romantic" pie menu when two adult Sims are sitting on a couch or bed together.

The launcher also keeps track of version compatibility, so you will know instantly if a game update breaks your mods.
Compatibility and Game Versions
This translation works with The Sims 4 base game and all recent expansion packs, game packs, and stuff packs. Since it relies on the XML Injector, it is largely version-agnostic. However, if a major game patch changes how pie menus function, you may need to wait for an update from either Mercuryfoam or the translation team. As of now, the mod works with the latest patch as long as you have the XML Injector updated to its newest release.
One important note: this translation is only for adult Sims. There is a separate version for children and teens, but that is a different file. Make sure you are downloading the correct one for your needs. The "Adultos" in the name indicates that this file specifically targets adult-to-adult interactions, so do not mix it with the child version.
Why Choose This Translation?
Spanish-speaking players often find that mods are released in English first, leaving them to navigate menus in a second language. This translation eliminates that barrier. The team behind it, Mitsuko Simmer and Dkrbto, are known for their high-quality localization work. They have carefully reviewed every string to ensure it sounds natural, not robotic. You will not find awkward machine translations here—every phrase reads like it was written by a native speaker.
Another benefit is that this translation is lightweight. It does not add any new animations or scripts beyond what the original mod provides. That means your game performance will not suffer, and you will not have to worry about bloat or conflicts with other mods. The only incompatibility to watch out for is the standalone posing animation pack from the same creator, so keep that in mind when organizing your mods folder.

If you run into any issues, double-check that you have enabled script mods in your game settings and that your files are not nested too deeply in subfolders.
