TNT Expansion (+160 new craftable TNT)

TNT Expansion (+160 new craftable TNT)

Vanilla TNT is fine, but it only really does one thing: it goes boom. The TNT Expansion (+160 new craftable TNT) add-on takes that single block and turns it into an entire arsenal. We are talking about 162 distinct TNT types, each one a real, placeable block that you light with redstone, flint and steel, fire, or a flaming arrow. The only thing that changes is what happens when the fuse runs out — and sometimes that means a mushroom cloud, and sometimes it means a field of flowers.

What Makes This Add-On Different

Every TNT here behaves like the vanilla block right up until detonation. You can mine it back, chain it off other explosions, and craft each one in survival mode. The chain is linear rather than exponential, so even the wildest bomb in the tree is reachable without cheats. Almost every recipe follows the same shape: gunpowder in the corners, a themed ingredient on the sides, and the previous TNT in the family at the center. Once you learn that pattern, you understand the whole progression.

The headline acts are genuinely absurd. Nuclear, Atomic, Hydrogen, and Tsar Bomb TNT drop a falling warhead, throw up a mushroom cloud, and leave the ground glassed over with a lingering Radiation effect. Tornadoes and Earthquakes drag blocks and mobs into a spiral. Black Hole, Void, and Anti-Gravity TNT break physics outright. And if you want pure numbers, multipliers run from x5 all the way to x10000.

New TNTs and Fusion Recipes

Version 2.4.0 introduced a set of fusion bombs, each crafted shapeless from two existing TNTs. They are the most spectacular additions in the pack:

• Starfall TNT — night falls and shooting stars rain down for fifteen seconds (Comet + Glowstone).
• Firenado TNT — a tornado that spits fireballs and sets the area ablaze (Tornado + Fire).
• Hurricane TNT — a thunderstorm with three simultaneous tornadoes (Tornado + Storm).
• Atlantis TNT — sinks the land into a flooded crater lit by sea lanterns (Ocean + Coral).
• Orbital Strike TNT — a lightning beam drills a shaft, then the whole area detonates (Drill + Thunder).
• Supervolcano TNT — a lava caldera erupting under a stormy sky (Volcano + Magma).
• Quasar TNT — a black hole swallows the area beneath a lightning storm (Black Hole + Lightning).

Version 2.3.0 added sixteen more, including Coal, Lapis, Quartz, and Netherite TNT that convert terrain into solid ore blocks, plus harmless options like Sponge, Glowstone, Healing, and Pet TNT. There is even an Error 404 bomb that deletes every block in every force-loaded chunk, so use that one carefully.

Server Performance and Configuration

The biggest craters in this add-on reach a 190-block radius, which the vanilla explosion system simply cannot handle. Instead, a custom engine writes directly into chunks, spreads the workload across ticks under a block budget, and resends chunks to players. The result is that a TNT x10000 carves itself out in front of you rather than freezing the server. A config file at config/tntexpansion-common.toml lets you cap the maximum radius, lower the work per tick, scale every explosion at once, or disable block damage entirely.

If you would rather skip the manual file juggling, the foxygame.net launcher handles TNT Expansion (+160 new craftable TNT) through a one-click install straight from its add-on catalog, so the correct build lands in your mods folder without any guesswork. Every TNT also ships with its own throwable dynamite, custom textures, and both English and Spanish names.

Supported Versions and Loaders

Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric

Compatibility is unusually broad. The add-on runs on Minecraft 1.7.10 through 26.3 across three loaders:

• Forge — 1.7.10 through 26.3
• NeoForge — 1.20.1 through 26.3
• Fabric — 1.14 through 26.3 (requires Fabric API)

Existing worlds load without conversion. If you are upgrading, just replace the jar and everything stays intact.

How to Install

Getting started is straightforward:

• Install the correct loader for your Minecraft version (Forge, NeoForge, or Fabric with Fabric API).
• Place the matching jar file into your mods folder.
• Launch the game and confirm the mod appears in your mod list.
• Open any recipe viewer such as JEI, REI, or EMI to browse every crafting recipe in game.

When you download TNT Expansion (+160 new craftable TNT), make sure the file matches both your Minecraft version and your loader. Grab the right build from the Files tab, light the fuse, and run.

Final Thoughts

Few mods offer this much destructive variety while staying survival-friendly. Whether you want a harmless Party TNT for a server event or a Reality Breaker to end a creative world in style, TNT Expansion (+160 new craftable TNT) for Minecraft delivers it. The linear crafting tree, the custom explosion engine, and the wide version support make it an easy recommendation for anyone who has ever wanted a little more chaos in their world.
