OpSec Enhanced
Every time you join a multiplayer server, your client quietly hands over more information than you might expect. Your mod list, keybinds, resource packs, language settings, even the way you move your mouse can be pieced together into a fingerprint that identifies you across sessions. OpSec Enhanced exists to shut that pipeline down, and it does so without requiring any changes on the server side.
What OpSec Enhanced Actually Protects Against
This is a client-side mod, which means you install it locally and it works on any server you connect to. It targets the specific channels that servers and other mods use to probe your setup.
- Client Spoofer — advertises your client as vanilla, Lunar Client, or Badlion Client while blocking other mods from leaking network channels, keybinds, and translation keys.
- Key Resolution Protection — stops the sign and translation-key exploit that servers use to detect which mods and keybinds you have installed.
- Resource Pack Fingerprinting — isolates pack caches per account and per server, blocks local URLs, and lets you strip forced server pack textures while keeping chat translations intact.
- Known-Pack and Shader Filtering — removes mod-injected pack identifiers and prevents server packs from overriding another mod's shaders, a trick sometimes used for GUI-crash griefing.
- Meteor Fix — patches Meteor Client's broken key-resolution defense so it stops outing itself.
- Telemetry Blocking and Chat Signature Control — halts Mojang telemetry and strips chat message signing when you don't want messages cryptographically tied to your account.
- Cookie Isolation — refuses to store server-set cookies on Minecraft 1.20.5 and above, which would otherwise persist across reconnects as a cross-session tracker.
Features Unique to the Enhanced Fork
OpSec Enhanced is an independently maintained fork of the original OpSec project, which is no longer actively updated. The fork keeps everything from upstream and layers on additional protections.
Account and Identity Protection
Encrypted Account Storage keeps saved session and refresh tokens protected with AES-256-GCM encryption at rest rather than plaintext. Skin and cape correlation alerts warn you when two saved accounts share a texture, which is one of the most common ways alts get linked to a main. A randomize skin and cape option generates a fresh procedurally-colored skin without involving any third-party site, and cycles between capes you actually own.
Network and Command Safety
Chat Link and Command Guard adds a confirmation prompt before a clicked chat, sign, or book message silently copies your clipboard or runs a command, and flags phishing-shaped links such as raw IPs, punycode, and look-alike domains. DPI Evasion splits the mod's own update and integrity check TLS handshake across TCP segments to dodge naive SNI-based blocking, which matters in regions with aggressive deep packet inspection. Command History Guard redacts arguments from commands like /login and /register before Minecraft writes them to command_history.txt.
Fingerprint Reduction
The Client Information Normalizer reports a fixed, common combination of language, view distance, chat mode, skin layers, and main hand instead of your real settings, since that exact combination is itself a fingerprint. Scrub Pack Download Headers neutralizes the X-Minecraft-Username, UUID, Version, Pack-Format, and User-Agent headers vanilla sends when downloading server resource packs. Lazy Server List Ping stops the multiplayer screen from auto-pinging every saved server on open, each ping being an unrequested connection that discloses your IP.
Supported Versions and Loaders
OpSec Enhanced supports two mod loaders with different version ranges. On Fabric, it runs on Minecraft 1.20 through 26.3 and requires Fabric Loader 0.16.0 or newer, with 0.18.5 or newer for MC 26.1.x, plus Fabric API. On NeoForge, it supports Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21.11, and 26.2 with no extra dependency. One caveat: the mod whitelist's AUTO mode is not available on NeoForge because there is no equivalent to Fabric's global channel-registry intro. Every other feature behaves the same across both loaders.
If you would rather skip manual file juggling, the foxygame.net launcher installs OpSec Enhanced for Minecraft in a single click and keeps it updated automatically, including version compatibility checks when Mojang ships a new release. That removes the guesswork of matching loader builds by hand.
How to Install
Installation follows the standard mod workflow. First, confirm your Minecraft version and loader match the supported ranges above. Install Fabric Loader or NeoForge for your version, then place Fabric API in your mods folder if you are on Fabric. Next, download OpSec Enhanced from its official GitHub repository and drop the jar file into the mods directory. Launch the game and open the settings through the OpSec button in the multiplayer server list, or through Mod Menu if you are on Fabric.
Inside the settings you can configure per-server profiles that save different protection and spoof settings tied to a specific server address and apply them automatically on reconnect. An optional HUD indicator shows your current status, and theming options let you set an accent color and a compact layout. Auto-Purge Pack Cache On Exit can wipe the downloaded-pack cache entirely when you close the game, on top of the per-account isolation already in place.
A Note on Responsible Use
OpSec Enhanced is a privacy tool built to protect players from unwanted client fingerprinting and tracking. It is not designed for bypassing server rules, evading bans, or gaining unfair advantages, and users remain responsible for following the rules and terms of service of any server they connect to. Used as intended, it gives you meaningful control over what your client reveals, which is something vanilla Minecraft has never offered.
