Cursed Cuts

Some hungers should not be fed. Cursed Cuts feeds them anyway. This cannibalism-themed mod for Minecraft turns ordinary survival into something far more unsettling, wrapping a full meat processing chain, tiered cleaver weapons, a summonable wendigo, and a quiet craving system into one grim, oddly funny package. It is dark, a little unhinged, and built to be played for atmosphere as much as for mechanics.

What Cursed Cuts Adds to Minecraft

At its core, Cursed Cuts is about commitment. Kill villagers or players, harvest steak-like meat, then chop it down into ground meat and meatballs using a cleaver on the cutting board. Cook it, combine it, and eventually work your way up to a proper meatball sub, a genuinely strong meal once you have fully embraced the theme. Every step feeds into the next, so the mod rewards players who lean into its world instead of dabbling.

Three Tiers of Cleaver

The mod ships with Iron, Diamond, and Distorted cleavers, each stronger and slower than the last. Every tier also doubles as the tool for the meat chopping mechanic, so once you craft your first cleaver you are never without a way to work the cutting board. The Distorted cleaver sits at netherite tier and represents a serious endgame investment.

The Cutting Board

Modeled after the classic place-an-item, hit-it-with-a-tool style seen in mods like Farmer's Delight, the Cutting Board is where the real work happens. Place raw meat down, chop it with any cleaver, and watch it visually transform into the next stage of the chain. Anything that is not meant to be cut simply sits there undisturbed, with a message letting you know it does not belong.

The Wendigo

Eating a ritual item called Cursed Raw Meat at night summons the Wendigo, a rare and genuinely dangerous enemy. It hits hard, has real health behind it, and drops Distorted Flesh, the key ingredient for crafting Distorted Ingots and eventually the top tier cleaver. Do not treat this fight lightly.

Decorative Pikes

Place a plain Pike, then attach a head or skull to it. Player heads and mob heads trigger a bloodied, gorier variant, while Skeleton and Wither Skeleton skulls attach cleanly but leave the pike unbloodied. Breaking a bloody pike always resets it to a clean pike, so every new head tells its own story.

The Craving System

Stick to human meat and you are rewarded: your craving stays low, and you can eat riskier foods like Distorted Flesh without consequence. Lean on normal food too often, though, and your craving climbs, quietly draining the saturation you get from anything outside the chain and eventually giving you a subtle, unsettling visual reminder that something is wrong. Stray far enough from the diet and even Distorted Flesh starts making you sick.

Baby Brains and MCA Reborn

Killing a child villager always drops Baby Brains, a rare, powerful food item on par with an enchanted golden apple, with no other mods required. If you run MCA Reborn alongside Cursed Cuts, there is a second path: place an MCA baby item on the cutting board and chop it with a cleaver for the same result. For players who want a smoother setup, the foxygame.net launcher keeps Cursed Cuts and its optional companions organized in one catalog, so enabling MCA Reborn integration takes only a couple of clicks.

How to Install Cursed Cuts for Minecraft

Cursed Cuts is built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1. To get started, install a matching NeoForge version for 1.21.1, then drop the mod file into your mods folder. MCA Reborn integration is fully optional, so the mod loads and works normally with or without it installed.

  • Confirm your Minecraft version is 1.21.1.
  • Install NeoForge for 1.21.1.
  • Place the Cursed Cuts file in your mods folder.
  • Optionally add MCA Reborn for the alternate Baby Brains recipe.

When you download Cursed Cuts, you are getting a horror-adjacent dark comedy mod first and foremost. It is built for players and server communities who want something a little grim and a little funny sitting alongside their regular survival experience, not a mod that takes itself too seriously.

A Taste of the Recipes

  • Iron Cleaver: 6 Iron Ingots and 2 Sticks, your entry point into the whole mod.
  • Cutting Board: 4 wooden slabs of any type, the station where the real work happens.
  • Diamond Cleaver: a Human Spine, 7 Diamonds, and a Gold Ingot, a serious investment for a serious upgrade.
  • Cursed Raw Meat: 2 Steak Meat, 1 Baby Brain, 1 Human Spine, 1 Human Roast, and 4 Ground Meat, a full crafting table's worth of ingredients for a single terrible ritual meal.

Everything past that, the top tier cleaver, the meatball sub, and the rest of the chain, is yours to discover.

Credits and Compatibility

Cursed Cuts is a true collaboration between Kontpab and Cosmic Slime. The ideas behind the mod, the meat chain, the wendigo, the whole dark little world of it, came from both of them bouncing concepts back and forth and refining them together. Kontpab built those ideas into working systems in code, while Cosmic Slime brought every item, weapon, and creature to life through Blockbench art and modeling. Neither half of this mod happens without the other.

If you are ready for a survival experience that is equal parts unsettling and absurd, Cursed Cuts delivers. Build the chain, feed the craving, and see how long you can keep the hunger satisfied before it starts watching you back.
