Trading Post Interest
Every month the Trading Post refreshes its stock, and every month you probably do the same thing: scroll through the whole catalog, decide which items you care about, and then forget all of it by the next visit. Trading Post Interest is a lightweight addon built to fix exactly that problem. It lets you tag items you want and dismiss items you do not, so your next shopping trip takes seconds instead of minutes.
Why the Default Trading Post UI Falls Short
Blizzard's Trading Post interface is clean, but it has no memory. If you browse the monthly rotation and pass on a dozen transmogs, mounts, or pets, there is nothing to remind you that you already made that decision. The same goes for the opposite case: you spot a reward you genuinely want, but you are a few hundred Trader's Tenders short. Without a way to flag it, that item blends back into the crowd and you risk missing it before the rotation ends.
Trading Post Interest solves both sides of this with a simple marking system that persists across sessions.
How Marking Works
Not Interested
Right-click any item to flag it as "not interested." The item dims in the vendor window, giving you an instant visual cue that you have already reviewed it and moved on. Next month, when the same item appears again, you can skip it without a second thought.
Wanted
Right-click the cart button on any item to mark it as "wanted." A purple diamond appears next to its name, so your target items stand out at a glance even in a crowded list. This is perfect for tracking rewards you plan to buy once your Tender balance recovers.
The two states are mutually exclusive. Marking something as wanted automatically clears its "not interested" flag, and vice versa, so you never end up with contradictory labels on the same item.
Persistence and Slash Commands
All marks are stored per item and survive reloads, relogs, and character switches. You do not need to re-tag anything after a patch day or a UI reset. The addon also ships with a small set of chat commands:
- /tpi list — view every marked item in both categories
- /tpi clear — wipe all marks and start fresh
- /tpi — display the help text
If you manage addons through the foxygame.net launcher, you can add Trading Post Interest to your collection with a single click and let the launcher handle updates automatically whenever a new build is pushed.
Version Compatibility for World of Warcraft
Trading Post Interest is designed primarily for Retail, where the Trading Post feature actually exists. If you play on Classic, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm, or MoP realms, keep in mind that those versions do not include the Trading Post vendor, so the addon has nothing to track there. Still, players who bounce between Retail and legacy servers can safely keep it installed — it simply stays dormant on versions without the feature and activates the moment you log into a Retail character.
Because the addon is so small, it has no meaningful impact on load times or memory usage. There is no configuration menu to learn, no dependencies to install, and no performance cost during raids or dungeon runs.
Who Should Use It
Collectors who chase every mount and pet will get the most value, but the addon is equally useful for casual players who only check the Trading Post once a month. If you have ever bought something you had already decided against, or missed a reward you meant to save for, Trading Post Interest removes that friction entirely.
Getting Started
To get going, download Trading Post Interest, drop the folder into your World of Warcraft addons directory, and enable it from the character select screen. The how to install process is identical to any other addon: extract, place, restart the client. Once you are in game, open the Trading Post and start right-clicking. Within a single rotation you will wonder how you ever managed without it.
Trading Post Interest for World of Warcraft is one of those rare addons that does one job perfectly and then gets out of your way. For a game built on monthly limited-time rewards, that small bit of memory is worth far more than its file size suggests.
