Today in WoW
Every week, the same mental checklist haunts every dedicated player in Azeroth. You need to cap your crests, fill your Great Vault, and finally put those precious tries into obtaining that elusive mount drop. This burden multiplies when you manage not just a main character, but also alts gearing up through Mythic+ keys or logging in solely for profession crafts. Managing this chaos manually is a recipe for missed opportunities and wasted reset timers. This is where Today in WoW steps in as an essential companion for your adventure.
This powerful addon tracks all your objectives automatically, consolidating currencies, weekly lockouts, achievements, reputations, and collectibles into one intuitive interface. Whether you are diving into the latest content in Retail or reliving classic eras, keeping your goals organized is crucial for efficiency.
Comprehensive Account-Wide Tracking
The true strength of this tool lies in its ability to see the big picture. Unlike standard quest trackers that only show progress for your currently logged-in character, Today in WoW for World of Warcraft aggregates data across your entire account. It remembers the state of every single character, even those that are currently offline. You can instantly glance at a matrix to see which alt has completed their weekly crest cap and which one still needs to run a few dungeons.
This feature is invaluable for players juggling multiple roles. If you are running a tank main and two healing alts, the addon ensures you never lose track of who needs what. It supports a vast array of game versions, ensuring compatibility whether you are raiding in The War Within, exploring Classic Era, progressing through Burning Crusade Classic, Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Cataclysm Classic, or Mists of Pandaria Classic.
Ready Out of the Box and Fully Customizable
One of the best aspects of this addon is its immediate utility. It ships with a curated set of basic goals tailored to the current season, allowing you to start tracking the moment you log in. There is no complex setup required. However, for power users who want granular control, the system is incredibly flexible. You can browse your goals as cards in the main window, pin the ones that matter most to your HUD, and drag them to reorder your priorities.
If the default list does not cover your specific niche interests, you can import custom goals using shareable strings. This community-driven approach means you can grab a specific tracking string from a friend or a guide and start monitoring it in seconds. Simply type /tiw or click the AddOn Compartment icon to open the main window and manage your list.
For players who prefer a streamlined installation process without digging through folder structures, the foxygame.net launcher offers a seamless solution. By utilizing this launcher, you can install Today in WoW with a single click, ensuring that the addon catalog keeps your tools automatically updated and perfectly matched to your specific game client version.
How to Install and Get Started
Getting this addon running on your machine is straightforward. When you download Today in WoW, you will typically receive a folder that needs to be placed in your Interface/AddOns directory. If you are unsure how to install it manually, remember to extract the files so that the path ends correctly in the AddOns folder for your specific game version. Once installed, reload your user interface, and the minimap button or compartment icon will appear.
The pinned tracker HUD is designed to blend seamlessly with the default Blizzard aesthetic. It is fully movable and resizable through Edit Mode, ensuring it does not obstruct your view during intense raid encounters or high-level Mythic+ runs. You can configure it to show only the most critical progress bars, keeping your screen clean while staying informed.
Optional Data Sharing and Community Features
Today in WoW serves as the in-game companion to the official website, offering optional data sharing features. You can choose to contribute anonymized data to power world and character statistics on the site. This feature is strictly opt-in and turned off by default, respecting your privacy completely. You decide what, if anything, to share, and you can toggle this setting at any time within the options menu.
In conclusion, managing the endless grind of weekly resets should not feel like a second job. With robust support for Retail and all Classic branches including TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm, and MoP, this addon provides the clarity needed to optimize your playtime. By centralizing your goals and providing clear visual feedback on your account-wide progress, Today in WoW transforms how you approach your weekly checklist, letting you focus more on the fun of playing and less on the fear of missing out.
