Profession Track
Every serious crafter in Azeroth knows the frustration of logging into multiple characters just to check if a daily cooldown is ready. Whether you are smelting Truesteel Ingots in Draenor or mixing Alchemical Catalysts, keeping track of these timers manually is a tedious chore that eats into your playtime. This is where Profession Track steps in as an essential utility for any dedicated artisan. By adding a lightweight LDB (LibDataBroker) data source to your interface, this addon consolidates all your crafting status information into a single, accessible tooltip.
Streamlining Your Crafting Workflow
The core functionality of Profession Track for World of Warcraft revolves around efficiency. Upon installing the addon, a small icon appears on your minimap or data broker display. A simple mouseover reveals a comprehensive tooltip detailing the status of cooldowns and specific item counts across your entire account. You no longer need to cycle through every alt on your realm list to see if your Blacksmith has reset their daily craft or if your Alchemist has another transmutation ready.
The addon comes pre-configured to track the most critical profession daily cooldowns and high-demand materials. Out of the box, it monitors items such as Truesteel Ingot, Alchemical Catalyst, Burnished Leather, Gearspring Parts, Hexweave Cloth, War Paints, Taladite Crystal, and Fractured Temporal Crystal. Furthermore, the item counts are intelligent; they include resources stored not just in your bags, but also those sitting safely in your bank. This holistic view ensures you never miss an opportunity to craft because you thought you were out of materials.
Customization and Control
While the default settings cover the most popular expansions, the true power of this tool lies in its flexibility. Players often have niche markets or specific gearing goals that require tracking obscure items. Profession Track allows you to expand its database effortlessly. By right-clicking the addon icon, you can input the specific ItemID of any object you wish to monitor. This feature makes it invaluable for players engaged in complex supply chains or those preparing for raid tiers that require specific consumables.
Additionally, the addon respects your privacy and organizational preferences. If you have a character dedicated solely to combat or one whose cooldowns you simply do not care about, you can ignore entire characters with a single click. Alternatively, if you only want to suppress a specific cooldown while keeping the rest visible, the granular control allows you to hide individual entries. This level of customization ensures your tooltip remains clutter-free and relevant to your current goals.
Compatibility Across Expansions
One of the standout features of this addon is its robust support across the vast timeline of the game. Whether you are grinding professions in modern Retail WoW or revisiting the golden ages of The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, and Mists of Pandaria in Classic versions, Profession Track adapts seamlessly. The developers have ensured that the logic handles the differing cooldown mechanics and item databases found in each era. For players who maintain characters in both the live game and various Classic eras, having a unified solution that works everywhere is a significant quality-of-life improvement.
When looking to download Profession Track, many users prefer streamlined methods to manage their interface. If you utilize the foxygame.net launcher, you can add Profession Track to your collection directly from their extensive addon catalog, allowing for one-click installation and automatic updates that ensure version compatibility without manual file handling. This integration removes the hassle of checking for patches after every game update, letting you focus entirely on your crafting empire.
How to Install and Get Started
Getting started with this tool is straightforward for players of all technical levels. To how to install the addon manually, simply download the archive from a reputable hosting site and extract the folder into your World of Warcraft directory under the Interface/AddOns path. Ensure the folder name matches the addon title exactly. Once you log into the game, navigate to your character selection screen and verify that Profession Track is checked in the addons list. Upon entering the world, the LDB data source will activate immediately, scanning your characters and populating the tooltip with real-time data.
