MythicRivals Decurse
If you have ever healed a chaotic dungeon or raid pug, you know the feeling. A tank drops low, a debuff lands, and your usual dispel addon goes silent because the game refuses to share aura data mid-fight. MythicRivals Decurse solves that problem by working with the engine instead of against it. This is not another aura scanner that fails when you need it most. It is a secure dispel grid built for the modern era of World of Warcraft.
Why MythicRivals Decurse Works When Others Fail
World of Warcraft changed how addons read auras during combat. In the heat of a boss fight, debuff information is considered secret, and the game will not hand it to traditional addon code. That is why older dispel tools go quiet mid-pull. MythicRivals Decurse does not scan for auras at all. Instead, it asks the game's own secure aura containers to render the debuffs, and then builds its grid around what the engine displays. The result is a grid that lights up in combat, in dungeons, and in raids, exactly when you need it.
A Grid Designed for Peripheral Vision
The core of MythicRivals Decurse is a simple, elegant grid. You get one square per group member, whether you are in a party or a full raid. The squares are laid out in columns or rows, and you can set as many per column as you like. When a player catches something you can remove, their square lights up with a coloured fill and a border. You catch it in your peripheral vision without reading a single tooltip. Left click casts your widest dispel. Right click casts your secondary one, if your class has two. Both spells are detected automatically from your class and specialisation, so there is nothing to configure.
Features That Keep You Ahead of the Fight
- A bell rings when a dispellable debuff lands, even during combat. Choose from four game sounds or set your own sound file ID.
- The debuff icon appears on the square with its stack count, so you know how serious the threat is.
- Your dispel spell and its cooldown are shown next to the grid. The grid dims while the spell is recharging, so you know at a glance whether a square is actionable.
- An ignore list lets you shift-click any spell icon in the game, or type its ID, to permanently silence it. Bleeds you cannot remove or curses your spec does not cover are gone for good.
- The grid is locked by default. Right click the minimap button to unlock it, and the grid turns cyan while it can be dragged. You will never accidentally move it mid-key.
- The addon supports English and French, picked up automatically from your client.
How the Bell Learns and Why It Rings
It is worth understanding how the bell works, because it explains the one thing that might surprise you. The engine will only ring for a debuff it has been told about. So MythicRivals Decurse remembers every dispellable debuff it reads out of combat, when the game still allows a look, and registers it with the engine. From then on, the bell rings on application, combat included, forever. Your list grows on its own as you run dungeons. The addon also ships with a starter list built from real combat logs, so the bell is useful from the first pull rather than after a week of silence.
When you are ready to set things up, the process is straightforward. To download MythicRivals Decurse, simply grab the latest version from a trusted addon manager. For those who prefer a more streamlined approach, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install for MythicRivals Decurse, and its built-in addon catalog keeps track of version compatibility across all supported game clients. The launcher also handles auto-updates, so you never have to worry about missing a hotfix for MythicRivals Decurse again.
Supported Classes and Game Versions
MythicRivals Decurse works for every class in the game that can remove something from an ally. Paladins get Cleanse on left click and Cleanse Toxins on right. Priests get Purify and Purify Disease. Druids get Nature's Cure and Remove Corruption. Shamans get Purify Spirit and Cleanse Spirit. Monks get Detox for both clicks. Evokers get Naturalize and Cauterizing Flame, with special handling for Preservation, Devastation, and Augmentation specs. Mages get Remove Curse, and Warlocks get Singe Magic from their Imp. Spells you have not learned are skipped, and the grid only ever lights up for types your character can actually remove. Warriors, Rogues, Hunters, Death Knights, and Demon Hunters have no ally dispel, so the grid stays dark for them.
The addon is built for World of Warcraft: Midnight, but it remains compatible with a wide range of game versions. Whether you are playing Retail, Classic, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm, or MoP, the core functionality holds up. The secure aura system works across these clients, and the addon's lightweight design means it will not conflict with your other UI mods. It has no external files and no dependencies, so you can install it alongside anything else without worry.
Commands and Customization
Every command word works in English or French. Type /mrdec to see the status and the full command list. Use /mrdec on or /mrdec off to show or hide the grid. /mrdec lock locks or unlocks the position. /mrdec size 16..48 sets the square size in pixels. /mrdec sound toggles the bell, and /mrdec sound [id] uses a specific sound file ID. /mrdec ignored opens the ignored-spells window. /mrdec exclude [id] ignores the last debuff seen or one by ID. /mrdec include [id] stops ignoring a spell. /mrdec repair rebuilds everything after an error. Left clicking the minimap button opens the full settings panel, where you can adjust size, spacing, layout, name display, debuff icon, stack numbers, border style and thickness, background opacity, class colours, and sound.
The bell uses the game's own sounds, so there are no embedded audio files that would only be recognised after a full client restart. Nothing is sent anywhere. The addon reads your group and your own spellbook, and writes your settings to your own SavedVariables. That is all. The idea is Decursive's, and it has served healers for twenty years. MythicRivals Decurse is a fresh implementation for Midnight's secure aura system, not a fork, and no code is shared. It was built by reverse-engineering Midnight's aura container system through in-game measurement. If you find a dungeon debuff the bell missed, bug reports are welcome. For healers who want a reliable, combat-ready dispel grid, MythicRivals Decurse for World of Warcraft is the answer.
