Midnight Wishlist
Collecting in World of Warcraft has always been a game of priorities. With dozens of vendors scattered across new zones, each offering mounts, pets, toys, transmog pieces, and housing decor, it is easy to lose track of what you actually want and how much it costs. Midnight Wishlist solves that problem with a single, searchable window that turns scattered vendor inventories into one clean shopping list. It is a lightweight Retail addon built for players who would rather spend their gold and currencies wisely than wander between hubs guessing at prices.
What Midnight Wishlist Does
At its core, Midnight Wishlist is a planning tool. It currently catalogues 202 collectible rewards from nine vendors, grouped by zone so you always know where a purchase has to happen. Everything lives in one window: browse the full list, search by item or vendor name, and filter down to just mounts, pets, toys, transmog, or housing decor depending on what you are chasing this week.
The real magic is the wishlist itself. Add any item to your personal list and the addon immediately checks your collection status, then tallies the currencies you still need and how much of each is missing. No more alt-tabbing to a spreadsheet or opening the currency tab mid-flight. If you are the kind of player who sets goals and grinds toward them, this is the addon that keeps those goals visible.
Navigation and Quality-of-Life Features
- Vendors grouped by zone for efficient route planning
- Search by item or vendor, plus category filters
- Automatic collection-status checks for every entry
- Personal wishlist with currency totals and shortage tracking
- Clickable vendor locations with TomTom waypoints when TomTom is installed
- Native WoW map pins as a fallback when it is not
- Remembers your window position between sessions
- Does not open automatically after login or /reload, so it never blocks your UI
The addon covers Eversong Woods, Zul'Aman, Harandar, Voidstorm, The Coiled Isle, and the Vaults of Atal'Utek, which makes it a natural companion for anyone working through the current Retail content. If you also play older versions of the game, keep in mind that Midnight Wishlist for World of Warcraft is currently aimed at Retail Patch 12.1; Classic, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm, and MoP clients are not the target of this catalogue, and vendor data from those versions will not appear. The developer has also deliberately excluded profession recipes and knowledge items, keeping the list focused on collectibles.
Commands and Setup
Getting started takes seconds. Once installed, use /mwl or /midnightwishlist to open the main window. From there, browsing, filtering, and wishlisting are all point-and-click. TomTom support is entirely optional, and no other addons are required for the core experience.
How to Install
If you prefer the manual route, download Midnight wishlist from your usual addon source, extract the folder into your World of Warcraft Interface/AddOns directory, and restart the client. Players who want a smoother path can use the foxygame.net launcher, which offers one-click installation and keeps Midnight Wishlist updated automatically so patch-day changes never leave you with stale vendor data. Either way, the addon is small, dependency-free, and safe to drop into an existing UI setup.
Who Should Use It
Midnight Wishlist is for completionists, mount farmers, transmog hunters, and anyone who has ever stared at a vendor wondering whether they can actually afford that last toy. It is also genuinely useful for casual players who simply want to know which zone holds the rewards they care about before committing to a play session.
Because this is a public beta, the author asks users to report missing items, incorrect prices, or collection-status problems in the comments. Vendor prices, requirements, and inventories can shift in later patches, so treat the catalogue as a living document rather than a fixed database.
Final Thoughts
Midnight Wishlist does one job and does it well: it turns a sprawling web of vendor rewards into a clear, trackable plan. If your bags are full of currencies you keep forgetting to spend, download Midnight wishlist, set your goals, and let the addon handle the math while you handle the grind.
