KeyLinkLister: One-Click Mythic Keystone Group Listing

KeyLinkLister turns any Mythic Keystone link into a one-click Premade Group listing for World of Warcraft. List faster and skip the manual setup.

KeyLinkLister

Anyone who pushes Mythic+ knows the ritual: someone drops a keystone link in chat, and a minute later you are still clicking through dungeon dropdowns, picking a playstyle, and retyping a title the game could have written for you. KeyLinkLister deletes that ritual. It turns a keystone link into a List Group button, and the whole listing happens in a click or two.

What KeyLinkLister Actually Does

The core idea is simple. Click a Mythic Keystone link in chat, whether it is yours or a friend's, and a List Group button appears under the tooltip. Press it and KeyLinkLister creates the Premade Group listing for that dungeon instantly. The playstyle is chosen with the button right next to it, and the title is generated by the game itself. No dropdown hunting, no manual typing, no alt-tabbing to check which key you were supposed to list.

There are a few smart edge cases baked in:

  • A keystone you do not own while solo: the button opens Blizzard's Start a Group panel with the dungeon and playstyle already selected and the cursor sitting in the Title field. The suggested title, something like +15, appears as a placeholder. Type it, press Enter, and Enter again lists the group. Blizzard does not allow addons to write that field, so KeyLinkLister gets you as close as the API permits.
  • In a party without owning the key: direct listing is attempted first, since a party member may be holding the keystone. If the server refuses, the next click opens the panel instead.
  • Re-listing for another dungeon: remove the old listing, then create the new one. Two clicks, same flow.

The usual Group Finder rules still apply. You must be the group leader, you cannot be in a full group or inside an instance, and authenticator restrictions apply to keys you do not own. KeyLinkLister respects all of it rather than working around it.

Commands, Languages, and Game Versions

Everything is also reachable through chat commands. The main one is /kll, with /keylinklister and /kl as aliases. From there you can control playstyle, cross-faction listing, private groups, score requirements, custom titles, open mode, and diagnostics. The subcommands include playstyle, xfaction, private, score, title, open, mode, test, log, diag, and debug, which makes the addon genuinely configurable without a bulky options menu.

KeyLinkLister for World of Warcraft ships with English and Italian localization, and it is built for Retail, including the Midnight 12.1 client. Players on Classic, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm, and MoP will find that the addon's design targets the modern Group Finder, so Retail is where the full one-click workflow lives. If you play across multiple clients, keep your addon folders separated per version to avoid load errors.

Installing Without the Headache

If you have ever wondered how to install an addon and then spent twenty minutes unzipping folders into the wrong directory, the foxygame.net launcher removes that entire step: it carries KeyLinkLister in its addon catalog, so a single click installs it, keeps it updated between patches, and flags version compatibility for the client you are actually running. That is a real convenience when Blizzard pushes a client update and half your interface breaks overnight.

Manual installation is still straightforward. Download KeyLinkLister, extract the archive, and place the KeyLinkLister folder inside your World of Warcraft Interface/AddOns directory. Make sure the folder name matches exactly and that you are not nesting it one level too deep, which is the single most common reason an addon refuses to appear at the login screen.

Who Should Bother

If you list keys a few times a week, KeyLinkLister saves seconds. If you run a Mythic+ community, form pugs all evening, or constantly re-list after a depleted run, it saves entire minutes and a lot of small frustrations. The addon does one job, does it cleanly, and stays out of the way the rest of the time. Source code, changelog, and issue tracking are available on the project's GitHub page for anyone who wants to dig into the details or report a bug.

Grab it, bind your muscle memory to /kll, and the next keystone link in chat becomes a listing instead of a chore.
