Can I Mog It? Master Your World of Warcraft Transmog Collection

Can I Mog It?

For transmog enthusiasts in World of Warcraft, the hunt for the perfect look is endless. But keeping track of which appearances you have already collected can be a nightmare. That is where Can I Mog It? comes in — a lightweight yet powerful addon that answers the burning question every time you hover over an item: "Can I mog it?" With its intuitive overlays and detailed tooltips, this addon transforms how you manage your collection across all major versions of the game.

What Is Can I Mog It?

At its core, Can I Mog It? is a collection tracker that works directly in your inventory, bank, vendors, and even the Adventure Journal. It adds small, color-coded icons to item tooltips, instantly telling you whether you have learned an appearance, if it is part of a set you are completing, or if the item can be catalyzed. But it does not stop at transmog — the addon also tracks pets, mounts, toys, housing decor, arsenals, and ensembles. Think of it as your personal completionist assistant, always on duty.

Key Features That Make Transmog Hunting Effortless

Once you download Can I Mog It?, you will wonder how you ever played without it. Here is what makes it indispensable:

• Instant Tooltip Overlays: Icons appear on items in bags, the bank, guild bank, mailbox, quest rewards, loot rolls, and even crafting windows. A green checkmark means you can learn it; a red X means you already have it or cannot use it.
• Set Progress Tracking: When browsing the Appearance Sets tab, the addon shows a counter like "6/9" so you know exactly how many pieces you still need.
• Bind Type Awareness: Items are highlighted with yellow for Bind on Equip and pink for Warbound, helping you decide whether to sell, share, or equip.
• Catalyst Support: Tooltips indicate if an item can be catalyzed, saving you trips to the Creation Catalyst.
• Source Information: General drop sources from Blizzard (World Drop, Quest, etc.) are displayed, making farming decisions easier.

Supported World of Warcraft Versions

Can I Mog It? for World of Warcraft is not limited to the latest expansion. The addon is actively maintained for Retail (Dragonflight and beyond) and also supports a wide range of classic eras. Whether you are reliving the original journey in Classic, venturing through The Burning Crusade, facing the Lich King in Wrath of the Lich King, or exploring the revamped world of Cataclysm and the mysteries of Mists of Pandaria, this addon has you covered. The developer ensures compatibility with each patch, so you can enjoy a consistent experience no matter which version you play.

How to Install Can I Mog It?

Learning how to install the addon is straightforward. First, download the latest version from a trusted addon source. Extract the folder into your World of Warcraft _retail_ or _classic_ Interface/AddOns directory. For Classic era clients, make sure you place it in the correct subfolder (e.g., _classic_era_ for Classic, _classic_tbc_ for TBC, etc.). Once the files are in place, launch the game and enable the addon from the character selection screen. That is all it takes to start seeing those helpful icons.

If you prefer a more streamlined approach, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install for Can I Mog It? and automatically keeps it updated across all your WoW versions, so you never have to worry about manual downloads or version mismatches again.

Compatibility with Other Addons

One of the strengths of Can I Mog It? is how well it plays with others. It natively supports popular bag addons like Bagnon, ArkInventory, AdiBags, and ElvUI, overlaying its icons seamlessly. It also integrates with TradeSkillMaster to add transmog search filters, and Better Wardrobe and Transmog enhances the set tracking experience. Even if you use a less common inventory addon, the overlay often works out of the box. The addon’s API allows other developers to tap into its data, making it a cornerstone of the transmog community.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Can I Mog It?

To truly master your collection, pair Can I Mog It? with complementary addons like ALL THE THINGS for a comprehensive completionist database, or AppearanceTooltip to preview looks directly from tooltips. Use the set progress counters to prioritize farming dungeons and raids where you are missing multiple pieces. When cleaning your bags, the yellow and pink highlights make it easy to spot valuable BoE or Warbound items you can sell or send to alts. And do not forget to check the Adventure Journal overlay — it can guide you to bosses that drop uncollected appearances.
