Mod Compatibility and Required Base Files
Before you download the translation, you must understand that this is a language pack only. The Zodiac Signs by Vicky Sims (chingyu1023) | POLSKIE TŁUMACZENIE for The Sims 4 does not contain the core mod logic. You need to download the original English mod from Vicky Sims (chingyu1023) first, and then place the Polish translation file into the same folder as the modification. The translation works with the latest versions of The Sims 4, including the base game and all expansion packs, as it does not rely on any specific world or pack content.
When it comes to compatibility, the translation is a simple string replacement file, so it will not conflict with other mods that alter the same UI elements. However, if you use other astrology or trait-based mods, always check for load order. The translation should be loaded after the main mod to ensure it overrides the English text properly. Also, never rename the mod or the translation files — the game and the mod rely on exact file names to locate the correct strings.
How to Install the Polish Translation Correctly
Installing the Zodiac Signs by Vicky Sims (chingyu1023) | POLSKIE TŁUMACZENIE is straightforward, but there are a few steps to follow to avoid common errors. First, make sure you have downloaded the original mod from Vicky Sims. Then, download the Polish translation file from the same page or a trusted mirror. Extract the ZIP archive if necessary. You will see a .package or .ts4script file. Move this file into the Mods folder of your The Sims 4 directory, which is typically located in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
Critically, the translation must be placed in the same folder as the original mod. If you use subfolders for organization, ensure both files are together. After placing the files, launch the game and go to Game Options > Other to enable script mods and custom content. Restart the game completely for the changes to take effect. If you do not see Polish text, double-check that you have not accidentally placed the file in a different subfolder or renamed it.
If you prefer a more streamlined approach, you can use the foxygame.net launcher, which offers a one-click install for mods and add-ons. The launcher automatically detects the correct installation path for The Sims 4 and places the Zodiac Signs by Vicky Sims (chingyu1023) | POLSKIE TŁUMACZENIE in the right directory, eliminating manual folder navigation. It also keeps track of your installed add-ons, so you can easily update the translation when a new version is released.
Why This Translation Matters for Polish Players
The previous translator, Astercholik, did an excellent job, but this new version by the current translator refreshes the wording and fixes minor inconsistencies. The Zodiac Signs by Vicky Sims (chingyu1023) | POLSKIE TŁUMACZENIE brings a more natural flow to the text, making it feel less like a direct translation and more like original Polish writing. This is especially important for flavor text, where awkward phrasing can break immersion. With this translation, your Sims' astrological profiles read like they were written by a Polish-speaking game designer.
Another advantage is the consistency with other Polish mods. If you already use Polish translations for other popular mods, this file will match the same terminology and tone, creating a cohesive experience across your entire modded game. The translation also covers the "Ask About Sign" interaction, so your Sims can discuss astrology with friends and family without any untranslated English leaking through.
Final Thoughts on Downloading and Using This Mod
To get the best experience, always download the latest version of the translation. The modding community updates files regularly to keep up with The Sims 4 patches, and the foxygame.net launcher can help you manage version compatibility automatically.
