Vanity Girl Phone Override & Mod by kikovanity / translation spanish by Monisims
Every Sim in The Sims 4 carries a phone, and it is almost always the same boring black slab. The Vanity Girl Phone Override & Mod by kikovanity / translation spanish by Monisims changes that completely. This add-on replaces the default phone appearance with a collection of custom, fashion-forward phone cases, and it also lets your Sims pose with a decorative phone item. If you have ever wanted your stylish Sim's accessories to match her outfit, this is the mod you have been waiting for.
What the Vanity Girl Phone Override Does
The core of this add-on is a phone override. Instead of the standard in-game smartphone, your Sims will display new vanity-style cases whenever they text, browse, or take selfies. The mod was originally created by kikovanity, and the Spanish translation was handled by Monisims, which means players who run the game in Spanish can enjoy the same content without any missing text or broken labels.
Beyond the visual swap, the mod adds a decorative item. Your Sims can pose with this prop, which is perfect for screenshots, storytelling, and CAS showcases. It is a small touch, but it makes a big difference when you are building a glamorous, influencer-style household.
Key Features at a Glance
- Custom phone case override that replaces the default Sims 4 phone look.
- Decorative posing item for photos and storytelling scenes.
- Full Spanish translation by Monisims, with English support as well.
- Lightweight package files that will not bloat your Mods folder.
- Compatible with most recent The Sims 4 patches, including post-2023 updates.
Supported Versions and Mod Compatibility
Before you commit to any override mod, it helps to know what it plays nicely with. This add-on works with the current live version of The Sims 4 and has been tested across recent expansion packs. Because it is an override rather than a script mod, it does not conflict with most gameplay mods, meaning you can keep your favorite tuning and career mods installed.
That said, if you already use another phone override, only one will take priority in your Mods folder. Remove the older file first, or rename it, so the game loads the correct version. The Spanish translation is included as a separate string file, so bilingual players can switch languages without reinstalling anything.
Where the Launcher Fits In
If you prefer a tidier setup, the foxygame.net launcher can handle this add-on for you: it lists Vanity Girl Phone Override & Mod by kikovanity / translation spanish by Monisims inside its add-on catalog and installs it with a single click, then keeps it updated when the creator pushes a new build. That saves you from manually tracking patch notes every time The Sims 4 receives an update.
How to Install the Mod
Learning how to install this add-on is straightforward, even if you are new to modding. Follow these steps:
- Download Vanity Girl Phone Override & Mod by kikovanity / translation spanish by Monisims from the creator's page.
- Extract the archive if it arrives as a .zip or .rar file.
- Copy the .package files into your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder.
- If you want the Spanish text, place the translation package in the same folder.
- Launch the game, open Game Options, and confirm that custom content and script mods are enabled.
- Restart The Sims 4 so the override loads correctly.
Once the game restarts, open a household and have a Sim pull out their phone. The new case should appear immediately. If it does not, double-check that no other phone override is competing for the same slot.
Tips for Getting the Best Results
Keep your Mods folder organized by creating a subfolder named after the creator. This makes troubleshooting much faster when a patch breaks something. You should also delete the localthumbcache.package file in your Sims 4 folder after installing, since stale cache data can sometimes prevent overrides from showing up.
For storytellers, pair the decorative posing item with a vanity or mirror set to create natural photo scenes. The prop works well in bedrooms, bathrooms, and dressing areas, and it gives your Sim something to hold during posed screenshots instead of standing idle.
Final Thoughts
The Vanity Girl Phone Override & Mod by kikovanity / translation spanish by Monisims is a small but meaningful upgrade for players who care about detail. It turns an overlooked object into a fashion statement and adds a useful posing prop on top of that. Grab it, drop it in your Mods folder, and let your Sims answer their calls in style.
