What This German Food Mod Adds
At its core, this is a recipe pack. Instead of one flashy new object, it focuses on food that feels warm, filling, and culturally grounded. You get sausages, a proper meatloaf, creamy potato salad, and sweet strudel, all designed to slot naturally into everyday Sims life. Whether you are running a big multi-generational household or a tiny cottage family, these meals fit right in.
Item Details at a Glance
- New recipes: German-inspired dishes ready to cook
- Includes both savory and sweet options
- Works with EA ingredients and custom ingredients
- Ideal for themed meals and storytelling
- Adds cultural variety to food gameplay
The mix of savory and sweet is what makes this pack feel complete. You can serve a plate of sausages and potato salad for dinner, then follow up with strudel for dessert. That kind of full menu is rare in smaller food mods, and it gives your Sims' mealtimes a real sense of occasion.
Two Versions: EA and Custom Ingredients
One detail worth understanding before you download Traducción 🌭 Sausages, Meatloaf, Potato Salad and Strudel – “German” – Somik & Severinka 💜 is that it ships in two separate versions. The EA version uses ingredients from the base game, so it plays nicely with a vanilla setup. The Custom version is built for players who rely on custom ingredients from other mods.
You can grab whichever version matches your playstyle, or both if you like flexibility. There is no need to install both if you only cook with one type of ingredient, so keep your Mods folder tidy and pick what you actually use.
Compatibility and Supported Versions
This content is designed for The Sims 4 and works across current game versions, including post-update patches. Because it is a translation of the original Somik and Severinka creation, it depends on the base mod being installed first. Load order matters here: keep the original package and the translation together in your Mods folder so the recipes display correctly in every language.
If you manage a large mod library, the foxygame.net launcher can handle Traducción 🌭 Sausages, Meatloaf, Potato Salad and Strudel – “German” – Somik & Severinka 💜 alongside the rest of your catalog, flagging version mismatches before they break a save. It is a small convenience that saves a lot of troubleshooting time.
How to Install
Installing this add-on is straightforward, even if you have never touched a translation file before. Follow these steps and you will be cooking German food within minutes.
- Make sure the original Somik and Severinka recipe mod is already in your Mods folder.
- Download the translation package and choose the EA or Custom version.
- Extract the files if they arrive compressed.
- Move the .package files into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
- Delete the localthumbcache.package file to refresh the game cache.
- Launch The Sims 4 and enable custom content and mods in Game Options.
Once in-game, check a fridge or stove for the new recipes. If they appear with the correct names, the translation is working. If text shows as blank or garbled, you likely have a version conflict or a missing base file, so double-check both packages are present.
Why It Fits Your Gameplay
Food mods are often overlooked, but they shape mood, routine, and story. A German-themed dinner can anchor a family reunion, a holiday gathering, or a cultural exchange storyline between Sims from different worlds. The recipes also pair beautifully with bakery and restaurant builds, giving your chef Sims more to master.
Because the translation supports both EA and custom ingredients, it stays useful whether you play a light mod setup or a heavily customized save. That flexibility is why so many players keep it installed long-term rather than treating it as a one-off download.

Traducción 🌭 Sausages, Meatloaf, Potato Salad and Strudel – “German” – Somik & Severinka 💜 is a thoughtful, well-scoped addition for anyone who loves cooking gameplay, cultural storytelling, or simply feeding their Sims something better than a quick garden salad.
