Trad FR Jamaican Chicken with Rice & Peas Custom Recipe Insimnia
If your Sims have grown tired of the same old hamburgers and hot dogs, it might be time to shake up their menu with something a little more vibrant. The Trad FR Jamaican Chicken with Rice & Peas Custom Recipe Insimnia brings a taste of the Caribbean straight into your game, giving your households a delicious new dish to cook, serve, and enjoy together. Whether you are running a bustling family home or a stylish restaurant, this custom recipe adds genuine personality to every meal.
What This Custom Recipe Adds to Your Game
This add-on introduces a traditional Jamaican chicken dish served with rice and peas, prepared on the grill rather than the stove. That small detail makes a big difference in gameplay, since your Sims will head outside to the barbecue to cook it, turning an ordinary evening into a relaxed backyard gathering. The recipe fits naturally into the existing cooking system, so it feels like it has always belonged in the game.
Because the dish is tied to the grill interaction, it works beautifully for summer parties, garden cookouts, and family reunions. Pair it with a cold drink and a few friends, and you have the perfect recipe for a memorable Sims story.
Requirements and Compatibility
Before you rush into the kitchen, it helps to know what the mod expects from your setup. The creator recommends a couple of supporting mods to get the full experience, though some are optional depending on how deep you want to go.
- My Grocery Shopping List, which is required for the ingredients to function correctly.
- Custom Ingredients May 2024 Part 2, which is optional but adds extra depth.
- My Grocery Shopping Day, also optional, but a great fit for immersive gameplay.
In terms of compatibility, the Trad FR Jamaican Chicken with Rice & Peas Custom Recipe Insimnia for The Sims 4 supports the current patch cycle and the major expansion packs that touch on cooking and dining. It plays nicely alongside most other food and recipe mods, so you can build a rich, varied menu without worrying about conflicts. As always, keep your game updated and check that your other script mods are current to avoid surprises.

Once installed, you can turn this recipe into a centerpiece of your gameplay. Try hosting a neighborhood barbecue and let your Sims show off their grilling skills. If you run a restaurant, add the dish to the menu and watch your customers react to a meal they have never seen before. The rice and peas side gives the plate a hearty, comforting look that photographs beautifully in screenshots.
You can also combine it with grocery shopping mods to create a full farm-to-table experience, where Sims buy ingredients, prepare them, and finally serve a home-cooked Jamaican feast. That loop adds real satisfaction to everyday gameplay.
