Compatibility with The Sims 4 Versions
This ingredient set was created for the April 2022 game version, but it remains functional with most subsequent patches. As long as you keep that base mod updated, the Trad FR Custom Ingredients Set 1 (april 2022) Insimnia should work without issues. For those who want to download Trad FR Custom Ingredients Set 1 (april 2022) Insimnia, the files are typically available on the creator's Patreon or website. The translation pack is distributed as a separate zip file, which you then merge with the original mod. There are no external links required; just search for the creator's page and grab the latest version.
Why You Should Add This to Your Game
If you are a fan of realistic cooking and grocery shopping in The Sims 4, this pack is a no-brainer. It adds a layer of authenticity that is often missing from vanilla gameplay. The French translation is clean and professional, making it perfect for Francophone players or anyone who wants a more international feel. The ingredients themselves are visually distinct and integrate well with the existing inventory icons, so you will not see any glaring mismatches.
Moreover, the pack encourages a more structured gameplay loop. You will need to visit the grocery store, pick up your haul, and then prepare the specific recipes. This turns a simple meal into a mini-quest, which is great for storytelling or for players who enjoy goal-oriented gameplay. The optional "My Grocery Shopping Day" mod enhances this further, adding time constraints and shopping lists that make each trip feel meaningful.
In conclusion, the Trad FR Custom Ingredients Set 1 (april 2022) Insimnia is a high-quality, niche add-on that fills a specific gap in the Sims 4 modding community. It is not a massive overhaul, but it does exactly what it promises: it provides all the custom ingredients for the April 2022 recipes, fully translated into French. Whether you are a completionist who wants every recipe or a roleplayer who enjoys the grocery store routine, this set is worth adding to your collection. Just remember to follow the installation steps carefully, and you will be cooking up a storm in no time.
