Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia
French-speaking Simmers, rejoice. The culinary world of The Sims 4 just became a lot more flavorful with the release of Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia. This thoughtful translation mod takes the original custom ingredients created by @Insimnia and wraps them in a complete French localization, making it effortless for Francophone players to dive into a brand-new Ramen cooking experience without stumbling over language barriers.
This add-on is not just a simple text swap. It is a bridge between a fantastic gameplay mechanic and a community that deserves to enjoy it fully in their native tongue. Whether you are a seasoned mod user or a newcomer exploring custom content for the first time, this translation ensures that every tooltip, recipe name, and interaction reads naturally in French.
What Does the Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia Add?
At its core, this mod introduces four special Ramen recipes that are ready to be cooked by your Sims. The original English mod from Insimnia provides the functional ingredients, while this translation layer makes the entire experience accessible in French. Here is the full menu you can expect:
- Ramen à la crème carbonara (Carbonara cream ramen)
- Ramen habanero au citron vert (Habanero lime ramen)
- Ramen aux quatre fromages (Four cheese ramen)
- Ramen original (Original ramen)
Each of these dishes brings its own unique buffs and moodlets to your Sims, encouraging them to experiment in the kitchen. The ingredients are designed to be used with the "My Grocery Shopping List" mod, which adds a realistic shopping layer to the game. You will also need the "Recettes de Ramen (octobre 2024)" base mod from Insimnia to ensure everything functions correctly. For an even richer gameplay loop, consider adding "My Grocery Shopping Day" as well, although it is optional and purely for those who enjoy a more immersive routine.
Why You Should Download Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia for The Sims 4
If you have ever tried to play a mod that is not in your language, you know how jarring it can be. The immersion breaks the moment you see a recipe name that does not make sense. This translation fixes that completely. By downloading Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia for The Sims 4, you are not just getting a language pack; you are getting a cohesive experience that feels like it was originally designed for French speakers.
Moreover, the mod is lightweight and does not interfere with your save files. It simply overlays the French text onto the existing English mod structure. This means you can keep all your other mods intact without worrying about conflicts, as long as you follow the installation steps correctly.
How to Install the Mod Correctly
The installation process is straightforward, but it requires a specific order to work properly. Many players make the mistake of placing files randomly, which leads to missing textures or broken text. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth setup:
- First, download the original mod folder from @Insimnia. This contains the core scripts and meshes for the Ramen ingredients.
- Unzip that folder using a tool like WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Next, download the translation file from this mod and unzip it as well.
- Carefully drag the translation files directly into the unzipped Insimnia folder. You are merging the two, not replacing anything.
- Once merged, place the entire folder into your Sims 4 Mods directory, which is typically found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
After launching the game, go to Game Options > Other and ensure that "Script Mods" and "Custom Content" are both enabled. If you have done everything correctly, you will see the French recipe names appear in the cooking menu. Remember to restart your game completely after adding the mod, as The Sims 4 does not always detect new files on the fly.
Compatibility with The Sims 4 Versions
This mod is designed to work with the latest patches of The Sims 4, including the base game updates from late 2024. It does not require any specific expansion pack, although owning "Dine Out" or "Cottage Living" can enhance the cooking animations and ingredient visuals. The translation files are version-agnostic, meaning they will continue to work even after future game updates, as long as the original Insimnia mod is updated by its creator.
When you download Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia, you can rest assured that it will not break your existing saves. The mod only adds new items and recipes; it does not modify any core game files. This makes it a safe addition to any modded game, whether you are running a heavily modded setup or a minimal one.
For players who prefer a more streamlined approach to mod management, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click installation option that automatically places the Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia files into the correct Mods folder, eliminating the manual merging process entirely. This is especially useful for those who are not comfortable with file management or who want to avoid the risk of misplacing a crucial file.
Enhancing Your Gameplay with the New Recipes
Once installed, your Sims will have access to these four distinct Ramen dishes. Each one requires specific ingredients that you can find in the fridge or purchase during a grocery run. The "My Grocery Shopping List" mod adds a new interaction to the fridge, allowing your Sims to create a shopping list that they can then take to a grocery store lot. This adds a layer of realism that many players find incredibly satisfying.
The Ramen habanero au citron vert is particularly interesting, as it provides a spicy moodlet that can boost your Sim's energy temporarily. The four cheese variant is perfect for cozy family dinners, while the carbonara cream version is a rich and indulgent treat. The original Ramen is a classic that never fails to satisfy. Experiment with all four to discover which one becomes your Sim's favorite.

In conclusion, the Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct 2024 Insimnia is an essential download for any French-speaking Simmer who loves cooking gameplay. It bridges the gap between a great mod and the language barrier, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the culinary adventures of your Sims. The installation is simple, the compatibility is broad, and the payoff is immediate.
