Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct. 2023 Part 2 Insimnia
If you love giving your Sims a deeper, more realistic cooking experience, the Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct. 2023 Part 2 Insimnia add-on is exactly the kind of mod that makes everyday gameplay feel richer. This French translation pack brings three brand-new custom ingredients to The Sims 4, letting your Sims cook with ground beef, Colby-Jack cheese, and empanada dough. Best of all, these ingredients are entirely optional, so they slot neatly into your existing recipes without forcing you to overhaul your entire save file.
Whether you are a longtime mod user or someone just discovering the world of custom food content, this release is a fantastic companion to the October 2023 Part 1 recipes. The two parts work together to create a cohesive cooking overhaul, and the translation makes everything accessible to French-speaking players who want their game menus to feel natural and immersive.
What Does This Add-On Include?
The core of this mod is simple but effective. It introduces three custom ingredients that expand your Sims' culinary options:
- Ground beef, perfect for hearty, savory dishes
- Colby-Jack cheese, a melty favorite for comfort food
- Empanada dough, ideal for baking and handheld pastries
All three ingredients are optional, meaning you can use them alongside the recipes from October 2023 Part 1 or ignore them entirely if you prefer a lighter mod setup. This flexibility is one of the reasons the add-on has become so popular among players who like to customize their gameplay without committing to a massive overhaul.
To make the most of these ingredients, the mod requires a few supporting pieces: the grocery shopping list, the October 2023 Part 2 recipes, and optionally the grocery shopping day feature. The grocery shopping day is not mandatory, but it adds a fun layer of realism to your gameplay loop, giving your Sims a reason to head out and stock up before cooking.
Supported Versions and Mod Compatibility
Before you download Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct. 2023 Part 2 Insimnia, it helps to know how it fits into your current setup. The mod is designed to work with recent versions of The Sims 4 and is generally compatible with the base game plus most expansion packs. Because it functions as a translation and ingredient pack rather than a script-heavy mod, it tends to play nicely with other cooking and recipe mods.
That said, always check that your game is updated to a version released around or after October 2023. If you are running an older build, some recipe interactions may not display correctly. As with any mod, keeping your game patched reduces the chance of conflicts, and loading this add-on alongside the Part 1 recipes ensures the intended experience.
If you want a smoother setup process, the foxygame.net launcher offers a convenient add-on catalog where Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct. 2023 Part 2 Insimnia sits ready for one-click installation, so you can skip the manual folder juggling entirely.
How to Install the Mod
Installing this add-on is straightforward, even if you are new to modding. Here is a quick walkthrough of how to install it correctly:
- Download the mod folder from Insimnia and unzip it on your computer
- Take the French translation file and integrate it directly into that same folder, unzipping it as well
- Move the completed folder into your The Sims 4 Mods directory
- Launch the game and enable custom content and script mods in your settings
The key step is combining the translation with the original mod folder before placing it in your Mods directory. Skipping that step is the most common reason players see missing ingredients or untranslated text in their game. Once everything is in place, the new ingredients should appear in your Sims' cooking menus automatically.
Where to Download
To download Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct. 2023 Part 2 Insimnia, head to the original creator's page and grab both the mod folder and the translation file. Keep in mind that you need the October 2023 Part 1 recipes and the grocery shopping list for the full experience. These supporting files are usually linked alongside the main download, so be sure to collect them all before you start cooking.
Final Thoughts
Trad FR Custom Ingredients Oct. 2023 Part 2 Insimnia is a small but meaningful addition to any Sims 4 kitchen. The three optional ingredients blend seamlessly with the October 2023 recipe set, and the French translation makes the whole experience feel polished for francophone players. If you enjoy realistic cooking, grocery runs, and expanding your Sims' menu, this add-on is well worth adding to your Mods folder. Just remember to keep your game updated, install the files in the correct order, and pair it with Part 1 for the best results.
