Trad FR Custom Ingredients April 2024 Insimnia
If you have ever wanted your Sims to whip up something a little more refined than a quick garden salad, the Trad FR Custom Ingredients April 2024 Insimnia add-on is exactly the kind of mod that turns an ordinary kitchen into a cozy French patisserie. This fan-made translation and ingredient pack focuses on dairy products, giving your Sims fresh options for baking, cooking, and storytelling. The best part? The ingredients are completely optional, so you can add them to your game without disrupting your existing saves.
What This Add-On Brings to Your Game
April 2024 marks the first part of a larger series, and this release is dedicated entirely to dairy. Think rich creams, butter, and other staples that make desserts feel genuinely homemade. The creator bundles these custom ingredients into a separate file precisely because they are not required for the core recipes to function. That design choice keeps your Mods folder tidy and lets you decide how deep you want to go into the culinary rabbit hole.
One highlight that players keep coming back for is the chocolate cheesecake recipe. It pairs beautifully with the dairy-focused ingredients and gives your Sims a showstopper dessert for dinner parties, dates, or just a well-earned treat after a long work week. Even if you skip the extra ingredients, the recipe itself still works, which makes this pack friendly to both minimalists and completionists.
Required and Optional Mods
Before you dive in, it helps to know what the pack expects. The original description lists a few supporting mods that make the experience smoother:
- My Grocery Shopping List, which handles the shopping side of ingredient collection.
- My Grocery Shopping Day, which is optional but adds a fun gameplay loop.
- The April 2024 Part 1 recipes, which tie everything together.
Because these are separate downloads, you can mix and match based on how much realism you want in your Sims' daily routine. The grocery shopping day in particular adds a nice slice-of-life rhythm that many players find surprisingly addictive.
Version Compatibility and Mod Support
The Trad FR Custom Ingredients April 2024 Insimnia pack is built for The Sims 4 and works alongside the standard game versions that were current when it released. As with most custom content, you should check that your game is patched to a recent build, since outdated patches can cause recipes to fail to appear or ingredients to vanish from the catalog. The mod is designed to sit quietly alongside other food and recipe mods, but if you run a heavily modded setup, load order and folder structure still matter.
For players who prefer a smoother setup, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install that drops Trad FR Custom Ingredients April 2024 Insimnia straight into the right folder, so you never have to manually unzip translation files again. Its add-on catalog also keeps track of version compatibility, which is a lifesaver when a new Sims 4 patch rolls out and you need to know whether your favorite food mod still works.
How to Install
If you prefer the manual route, the process is straightforward. Learning how to install this pack takes only a few minutes:
- Download the mod folder from Insimnia and unzip it.
- Integrate the translation file directly into that same folder, unzipping it as well.
- Place the finished folder into your Sims 4 Mods directory.
- Launch the game and enable custom content in your settings if you have not already.
Once inside the game, check the cooking and baking menus for the new dairy ingredients and the cheesecake recipe. If nothing shows up, confirm that script mods are enabled and that the folder is not nested too deeply inside your Mods directory.
Why French Ingredients Are Worth It
French cuisine carries a certain romance in the minds of many players, and this pack leans into that feeling. Adding butter, cream, and other dairy staples gives your Sims' meals a sense of authenticity that generic base-game ingredients cannot match. It is a small touch, but it changes how a kitchen feels during gameplay, especially when your Sim is hosting friends or running a home bakery.
You can download Trad FR Custom Ingredients April 2024 Insimnia for The Sims 4 from the creator's official page, and the translation work makes it accessible to English-speaking players who want the full French cooking experience. Whether you are a builder who loves detailed kitchens or a storyteller chasing cozy domestic scenes, this dairy-themed pack earns its place in your Mods folder.
In short, the Trad FR Custom Ingredients April 2024 Insimnia add-on is a thoughtful, optional expansion that rewards players who enjoy cooking gameplay. Pair it with the grocery mods, keep your game patched, and let your Sims enjoy a little taste of France without ever leaving the neighborhood.
