Trad FR Chocolate Cheesecake Insimnia
If your Sims have a sweet tooth and you love adding realistic food mods to your game, the Trad FR Chocolate Cheesecake Insimnia is a dessert you will want on every menu. This French translation brings a delicious chocolate cheesecake recipe into The Sims 4, letting your Sims bake, serve, and enjoy a cake that looks straight out of a Parisian patisserie. Whether you run a cozy family household or a busy restaurant, this add-on fits right in.
What Is the Trad FR Chocolate Cheesecake Insimnia?
This add-on is a French translation of Insimnia's chocolate cheesecake mod, originally released as a fitting treat for April 2024. It adds a custom chocolate cheesecake recipe to your game, complete with ingredients, cooking interactions, and a beautifully modeled cake. The creamy topping is not a one-off either, since the same cream is reused in other Insimnia desserts, including the Fraisier strawberry cake from October 2024.
The translation covers both the FAST and SLOW versions that Insimnia provides, so you need to pick the one that matches your cooking style before installing. This is a small but important detail that many players miss on their first attempt.
Why This Mod Belongs in Your Game
- Adds an authentic French chocolate cheesecake recipe to The Sims 4
- Includes a reusable cream asset shared with other Insimnia cakes
- Works as a standalone dessert or as part of a larger baking rotation
- Fully translated into French for a polished in-game experience
- Great for family gameplay, bakeries, and restaurant venues
Requirements and Compatibility
Before you download Trad FR Chocolate Cheesecake Insimnia, keep in mind that the mod depends on Insimnia's grocery shopping list. The original creator also offers optional custom ingredients for April 2024 and a grocery shopping day feature that adds extra flavor to gameplay, though these are not strictly required. The base game recipe and translation work with the current versions of The Sims 4, and the mod plays nicely with most script and tuning mods as long as you avoid conflicts with other custom recipes that use the same ingredient IDs.
If you use a mod manager or a launcher, keeping this add-on updated is simple. The foxygame.net launcher, for example, lets you install Trad FR Chocolate Cheesecake Insimnia with a single click and automatically keeps it in sync with your other Sims 4 mods, so you never have to hunt down a fresh translation file by hand.
Supported Versions
The translation is built for the standard PC and Mac versions of The Sims 4. Console players cannot use custom content, so this mod is only relevant for PC and Mac. Because Insimnia maintains separate FAST and SLOW builds, always confirm which version you are running before adding the French translation on top.
How to Install the Mod
Installing this dessert mod takes only a few minutes. Follow these steps carefully so the translation loads correctly.
- Download the mod folder from Insimnia and unzip it on your computer.
- Take the French translation file and unzip it as well.
- Place the translation directly inside the Insimnia mod folder so the files sit together.
- Move the entire folder into your The Sims 4 Mods directory.
- Launch the game and enable custom content and mods in the options menu.
If you want to download Trad FR Chocolate Cheesecake Insimnia without worrying about folder structure, a launcher that handles one-click installs can save you time. Just make sure the FAST or SLOW variant matches your setup, or the recipe may not appear in the cooking menu.
Common Installation Issues
Most problems come from placing the translation outside the Insimnia folder or forgetting to unzip both files. If the cake does not show up, double-check that custom content is enabled and that you did not mix a FAST translation with a SLOW mod. Removing duplicate copies of the same recipe also helps prevent conflicts.
Final Thoughts
The Trad FR Chocolate Cheesecake Insimnia is a charming addition for any Sim who loves baking. It blends a realistic French dessert with smooth gameplay integration, and the reusable cream makes it even more valuable alongside other Insimnia cakes. Download the translation, follow the installation steps, and treat your Sims to a slice of chocolate cheesecake they will not forget.
