Trad FR : Basketball Team (Teen) After-School Activities LilyValleyCC
Teen Sims in The Sims 4 often drift through their after-school hours with little to do beyond homework and the occasional chat. The Trad FR : Basketball Team (Teen) After-School Activities LilyValleyCC add-on changes that completely. This French translation of LilyValleyCC's basketball mod turns the empty gap between school and dinner into a structured, rewarding activity that shapes your teen's personality, skills, and social circle.
If you have been searching for a way to make adolescence feel meaningful in your save file, this is the mod to grab. It slots neatly into the after-school activity system and works with the base game, so you do not need extra packs to enjoy it.
What the Basketball Team Mod Adds
Joining a basketball team is an electrifying entry into a world of camaraderie, skill development, and pure fun. The mod recreates that feeling inside The Sims 4 by giving your teen a real commitment: practices, drills, competitive games, and the slow build of athletic confidence.
Under the guidance of experienced coaches, your Sim develops and refines basketball prowess. Every dribble builds confidence, and every jump perfects the shot. The team environment encourages friendship and support among teammates, forging strong bonds both on and off the court.
- After-school basketball practices for teen Sims
- Skill-building drills that reward consistent attendance
- Team bonding that strengthens friendships between teammates
- Competitive games with a sense of stakes and progression
- Life lessons in sportsmanship and resilience woven into gameplay
Because the activity is built around the after-school slot, it fits naturally into a teen's daily routine. Your Sim leaves school, heads to practice, and comes home with new skills and stories. Over time, the basketball team empowers your teen to become a well-rounded athlete and a vital team player.
Compatibility and Supported Versions
The mod is compatible with the base game, which makes it one of the easiest additions to recommend for any setup. It is designed for teen Sims specifically, so younger and older life stages will not interact with the activity in the same way.
When it comes to supported The Sims 4 versions, the translation works with current patch levels, and the original LilyValleyCC mod remains the foundation. As with any script or tuning mod, keep an eye on patch notes after major updates. If a game patch changes how after-school activities are handled, the mod may need a refresh. Checking the mod page after each patch is a good habit.
Mod compatibility is generally smooth, but conflicts can appear if another mod overrides the same after-school activity slots. If you run a heavily modded game, test the basketball team in a fresh save first to confirm everything loads correctly.
How to Install the French Translation
Installation is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. Follow these steps carefully so the translation loads alongside the original mod.
- Download the mod folder from LilyValleyCC and unzip it.
- Place the translated file directly inside that mod folder.
- Move the entire folder into your The Sims 4 Mods directory.
- Launch the game and enable mods in the options menu.
- Check that the after-school activity appears for teen Sims.
If you are wondering how to install without breaking your existing setup, the key is keeping the translation file in the same folder as the original mod. Do not rename files, and avoid nesting the folder too deep inside your Mods directory.
For players who prefer a smoother route, the foxygame.net launcher handles add-on management in a single click, and it recognizes Trad FR : Basketball Team (Teen) After-School Activities LilyValleyCC by name so the correct files land in the right folder automatically. That approach removes most of the guesswork, especially for anyone juggling dozens of mods.
Why French Players Will Love This Translation
The original mod was written in English, which meant French-speaking players had to mentally translate every notification and menu label. This translation removes that friction entirely. All in-game text tied to the basketball team now reads naturally in French, so the experience feels native rather than imported.
That matters more than it sounds. After-school activities rely heavily on text prompts, mood descriptions, and progress notifications. When those appear in your own language, the whole activity feels more immersive and easier to follow.
Final Thoughts
The Trad FR : Basketball Team (Teen) After-School Activities LilyValleyCC add-on is a small file with a big impact. It gives teen Sims a genuine reason to look forward to the end of the school day, builds athletic and social skills over time, and fits the base game without requiring expansion packs.
Whether you download it manually or let a launcher handle the setup, this translation is worth adding to any French-language save. Your teens will thank you, one jump shot at a time.
