simkatu Reading in Bed / translation spanish by Monisims
Reading in The Sims 4 usually means your Sim stands around or sits awkwardly on a couch while flipping pages. The simkatu Reading in Bed / translation spanish by Monisims add-on changes that small but meaningful routine. This mod lets your Sim relax under the covers and read a book pulled straight from their inventory, and the Spanish translation by Monisims makes the interaction accessible to a whole new group of players. If you have ever wanted a cozier bedtime for your Sims, this is the add-on to try.
What the Mod Actually Does
The core feature is simple and effective. Once the mod is installed, you click on a bed and a new interaction appears. Your Sim then chooses a book from their personal inventory and reads it while lying in bed. It is a pre-release style mod, so the creator continues refining the animation and menu flow, but the main function works as intended.
According to the original description, the creator only provided the base mod, and Monisims handled the translation. That means the Spanish version is a localization layer that makes the interaction readable for Spanish-speaking players without altering the original mechanics.
- Adds a clickable bed interaction for reading
- Pulls books directly from your Sim's inventory
- Spanish translation by Monisims
- Designed for The Sims 4
- Pre-release, so expect future updates
Supported Versions and Compatibility
Before you download simkatu Reading in Bed / translation spanish by Monisims, check your game version. The Sims 4 receives frequent patches, and script or interaction mods can break after a major update. This add-on generally targets current live versions of The Sims 4, but older builds may behave differently.
Compatibility is another factor. Because the mod adds a new interaction to beds, it can conflict with other mods that modify bed behavior, sleep animations, or object menus. If you use a large mod folder, test this add-on alongside your other bed-related content. Loading it last in your mod list often helps resolve minor conflicts.
If you prefer a smoother setup, the foxygame.net launcher keeps simkatu Reading in Bed / translation spanish by Monisims organized in its add-on catalog, so you can install it in one click and let the launcher handle version checks for you.

Why Spanish Players Will Appreciate This Translation
Localization matters in a game as text-heavy as The Sims 4. A translated interaction means Spanish-speaking players can understand exactly what the option does without guessing. Monisims kept the translation faithful to the original intent, so the menu text reads naturally in Spanish while preserving the cozy, casual tone of the mod.
For players who enjoy storytelling, this small change adds realism. A Sim winding down with a novel before sleep feels more human than one standing in the kitchen at midnight. It pairs well with other routine mods and gives your households a gentler nightly rhythm.
