Ruka Urushibara [Anime Sims]
If you have ever wanted to bring a soft-spoken, deeply layered anime character into your neighborhood, the Ruka Urushibara [Anime Sims] add-on is exactly the kind of custom content that makes The Sims 4 feel personal. This guide walks you through what the character includes, which packs and mods you need, and how to install everything without breaking your save file.
Who Is Ruka Urushibara?
Ruka is a gentle, reserved character whose identity has sparked plenty of discussion among fans. The creator of this Sim made Ruka male-identifying with feminine preferences, which is the interpretation most viewers seem to share. That said, there is a genuine argument for reading Ruka as a trans woman, and the creator openly acknowledges that the show alone leaves room for both views.
Because of that ambiguity, the add-on is built to be flexible. You can keep Ruka exactly as designed, or you can reshape the character to match your own reading of the story. That kind of thoughtful design is rare in fan-made content, and it is a big reason this Sim stands out.
Customizing Ruka's Identity With Mods
If you see Ruka as a trans woman, the creator recommends using Lumpinou's LGBT Mod for The Sims 4. This mod lets you set the character to questioning and transition easily without scrambling existing preferences. You can also switch the body to all-female options if that fits your version of Ruka better.
For an even softer look, pairing the character with a Northern Siberia Winds feminine skin overlay is a popular choice. If you prefer to keep Ruka as originally built, you do not need to download anything extra. The base version works perfectly on its own.

Required Custom Content
The Ruka Urushibara [Anime Sims] build leans on a specific set of CC to look right. The main hair comes from hezeh's V2 version, and the skin uses Northern Siberia Winds N10 B overlay combined with the East Male Skin Face Mask. The creator's own Kimono Shrine Maiden recolor was made specifically for this character, so it is worth grabbing.
Other important pieces include thePancake's Color Slider Base Layers, wotunciba's merged Bangs package, Sukeru's Gothic Dress and Medical Angel outfit, and Cloud Cat's Cottage Core Maid Dress. For accessories, you will want Moood's Alt Hair, arethabee's Mia Rings, SoulMate's Hat Accessory, and Simplicity's Isabelle necklace.
Makeup and details matter too. Learxfl N24 Lipstick, Lin-Dian's Bone Pin, Katrina-y Hua Eyeliner 51 and Blush 64, TwistedCat's purple eyes, Miiko's Eyebrow Slider, and MMSIMS Lashes all contribute to the final look. If you run HQ mods, the result will look noticeably sharper than standard settings.
Pack and Compatibility Notes
You do not need the Star Wars pack to use this Sim. The build references exactly one item from it, so skipping that pack will not ruin the character. The add-on is designed to work with current The Sims 4 versions, and it plays nicely alongside common script mods as long as your game is updated.
Managing a long CC list like this can get messy, which is where the foxygame.net launcher becomes genuinely useful. It keeps Ruka Urushibara [Anime Sims] and similar add-ons in one catalog, so you can install everything in a single click and let the launcher handle version compatibility and updates for you.
How to Install
- Download every required CC package listed above.
- Place the files in your Mods folder, keeping subfolders organized.
- Enable custom content and script mods in Game Options.
- Restart The Sims 4 and load your save.
- Search the Gallery or your library for the character and place them in a household.
If you want to download Ruka Urushibara [Anime Sims] for The Sims 4, gather the CC first, then add the Sim file last. This order prevents missing-mesh errors and keeps the outfits intact.
Final Thoughts
The Ruka Urushibara [Anime Sims] add-on is more than a pretty face. It respects the ambiguity of the source material, gives you tools to shape the character your way, and looks fantastic once the CC is in place. Whether you keep Ruka as designed or customize the identity with the LGBT Mod, this Sim brings a quiet, memorable presence to any household. Take your time with the install, and Ruka will fit right into your world.
