RSM - Purchased Items delivered via Mail
Shopping from your Sims' computer is convenient, but the instant teleportation of items into their personal inventory always felt a little too magical. If you crave a touch more realism in your digital life, the RSM - Purchased Items delivered via Mail mod is the perfect quality-of-life overhaul. This clever add-on transforms your online shopping experience, ensuring that every non-digital purchase arrives at your Sim's front door via a postal delivery, just like in the real world. It is a small change that adds a wonderful layer of immersion to everyday gameplay.
How the Mail Delivery System Works
Once installed, the mod takes over the ordering system. Instead of items magically appearing in your Sim's inventory, a mail carrier will deliver a package to your Sim's residence shortly after the order is placed. This applies to nearly all ordering options available on the computer, from furniture and electronics to groceries and books. However, the mod is smart about its exclusions. It intentionally does not affect Gifts (from Seasons), Crystals, and Earbuds, as these are designed to be immediate. Furthermore, it will not work on custom content items that possess their own object tuning file, ensuring stability and preventing conflicts.
Expanded Ordering Options Included
A fantastic bonus bundled with this mod is the addition of missing order options. The creator has added the ability to order Pet Toys and Toys directly from the computer, which were previously unavailable. This makes the mod not just a delivery overhaul but also a functional expansion, giving you more reasons to use your Sim's PC for shopping. Whether you are stocking up on chew toys for your dog or building a collection of children's playthings, the enhanced catalog is a welcome addition.
Compatibility and Required Mods
Before you download RSM - Purchased Items delivered via Mail, you must be aware of a crucial requirement. This mod requires the XML Injector mod to function correctly. Without it, the script will not run. Additionally, the mod is designed to work with specific DLC. The download is split into separate packages, and you should only install the DLC-specific packages for expansions you actually own. This modular approach prevents errors and keeps your game running smoothly. The core package works with the base game, while add-ons are provided for different expansion packs.
Supported The Sims 4 Versions
This mod is consistently updated to support the latest game patches. It is compatible with the base game of The Sims 4 and all subsequent expansion packs. The creator ensures that the core files remain stable across updates, but you should always check for the latest version to ensure compatibility with your current game build. If you are using other mods, this one plays nicely with a specific suite of creations by the same author, including the RSM (Realm of Magic) Buy Spells and Potions Tomes via PC, RSM (City Living) Spice Market, RSM (Cats & Dogs) Buy Treats via PC, and RSM (Horse Ranch) Buy Horse Treats via PC.
When you are ready to get started, the installation process is straightforward. To learn how to install, simply extract the downloaded archive and place the package files into your Mods folder, which is located in your Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 directory. Remember to enable script mods in your game settings before launching. For those who prefer a streamlined approach, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install for RSM - Purchased Items delivered via Mail, handling the file placement automatically and ensuring you have the correct version for your game. The launcher also features a comprehensive add-on catalog, making it easy to discover and manage this and other essential mods.
Language Support and Community
One of the best aspects of this mod is its incredible multilingual support. While English is the default, the mod is fully translated into German, Japanese, Portuguese, Czech, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Polish, French, and Korean. This ensures that players from around the globe can enjoy the enhanced realism without language barriers. The creator is also active in the modding community, offering dedicated mod support via their Discord server, where you can report bugs, request features, or simply chat with other users.
Ultimately, RSM - Purchased Items delivered via Mail for The Sims 4 is a must-have for any simmer who values realism and detail. It transforms a mundane action into a satisfying event, adding anticipation as you wait for your new sofa or book to arrive. The inclusion of extra ordering options and the extensive translation support makes it a polished and professional mod that enhances the core gameplay loop. If you are tired of the instant gratification of inventory delivery, this mod offers a delightful and immersive alternative that will change the way you shop in-game forever.
