RSM - Copy Graduation Photos and Diplomas
Every Sim who has ever walked across that ceremonial stage in The Sims 4 knows the bittersweet feeling of graduation day. You spend hours in CAS, meticulously picking the perfect cap and gown, then sit through the entire ceremony just to snap that one perfect screenshot. But what happens when you have twins graduating in the same household? Or when you move your legacy heir out and realize their diploma stayed behind with the parents? That is where the cleverly designed mod, RSM - Copy Graduation Photos and Diplomas, steps in to save your cherished memories.
This utility add-on, originally conceptualized by Chocolate, does exactly what its name promises. It allows you to copy your hard-earned Diplomas and Graduation Photos, so every Sim in the household can have their own keepsake. No more fighting over who gets to keep the framed certificate on their nightstand. No more heartbreak when a Sim moves out without their academic proof. This mod is a quality-of-life game changer for storytellers, legacy players, and completionists alike.
Why You Need This Mod in Your Game
The base game only provides a single copy of a graduation photo and diploma per graduating Sim. While that is realistic, it is also frustrating. If you want to display the diploma in the living room, the study, and the bedroom, you are out of luck. This mod solves that by letting you duplicate these items as many times as you need.
The beauty of RSM - Copy Graduation Photos and Diplomas for The Sims 4 lies in its simplicity. Once installed, you simply interact with the original item and select the copy option. The mod respects the game's integrity by creating a true clone, meaning the copied diploma will carry the same name and texture as the original. This is perfect for families with multiple graduates, as you can now give each child their own copy without any visual glitches or mismatched text.
Mod Support and Compatibility
The creator has built in a dedicated mod support system, which is accessible via their Discord community. This means if you run into any issues or want to request a feature, there is a direct line of communication. The mod is designed to work seamlessly with the base game and does not interfere with other popular mods like UI Cheats or MCCC, provided you follow the installation instructions correctly.
It is worth noting that the mod supports all current versions of The Sims 4, including the latest game patches and expansion packs. Whether you are playing on the base game or with all expansions, this add-on will function without breaking your save file. However, as with any mod, it is always wise to check for updates after a major game patch, as script mods sometimes need a quick refresh.
How to Install the Mod
Installing this add-on is a breeze, even for modding novices. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install:
- First, download RSM - Copy Graduation Photos and Diplomas from a trusted mod repository or the creator's official page.
- Locate your The Sims 4 Mods folder. This is typically found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
- Extract the downloaded ZIP file. You should see a .package file and possibly a .ts4script file.
- Place both files directly into the Mods folder. Do not place them in a subfolder if the creator specifies otherwise.
- Launch the game and go to Game Options > Other. Ensure that "Script Mods Allowed" and "Mods Enabled" are both checked.
- Restart the game completely for the mod to load properly.
Once you have done this, the mod will be active. You can verify it is working by clicking on a diploma or graduation photo and looking for the new "Copy" interaction.
Where to Find the Interaction
After installation, the interaction appears directly on the item itself. Click on any Diploma or Graduation Photo in your Sim's inventory or on the wall, and you will see a new pie menu option labeled "Copy." Clicking this will instantly create a duplicate in your Sim's inventory, ready to be placed anywhere in the house.
The mod is incredibly lightweight, meaning it will not bloat your save file or cause lag. It is a pure utility tool that does exactly what it says, without any unnecessary extras. This makes it a staple for any simmer who values organization and memory preservation.
