Read in bed par Simkatu - Trad Fr
There is something deeply satisfying about watching your Sim curl up under the covers with a good book. For years, players have wanted a more intimate, cozy reading experience that goes beyond sitting stiffly on a couch or chair. The mod Read in bed par Simkatu - Trad Fr delivers exactly that, bringing a warm and immersive new interaction to your Sims' nightly routines. Whether your Sim prefers to burrow deep under the duvet or sit cross-legged on top of the sheets, this mod makes bedtime reading a reality.
What Does This Mod Add to Your Game?
The core feature of Read in bed par Simkatu - Trad Fr for The Sims 4 is the ability for your Sims to read any book from their personal inventory while in bed. This is not just a simple animation swap; it is a fully functional interaction that respects the game's existing book system. Your Sims can choose a novel, a skill book, or even a children's book, and settle in for a relaxing reading session.
The mod introduces two distinct poses to keep things visually interesting:
- Under the covers: Your Sim slides down, pulls the blanket up, and reads in a snug, reclined position.
- Sitting on the bed: Your Sim sits upright on top of the sheets, leaning against the headboard or pillows for a more alert reading posture.
This variety ensures that the interaction feels natural and dynamic, rather than a repetitive single animation. The mod is designed to work seamlessly with the base game beds, but it also supports many of the custom beds available in the community.
About the French Translation
This specific file is the French translation of the original mod created by Simkatu. The original mod was released in English, and this translation ensures that French-speaking players can enjoy the interaction in their native language. The translation covers all the interaction names, tooltips, and notifications, providing a fully localized experience.
To use this translation, you simply place the translation file in the same folder as the original mod. It is a straightforward process that takes only a moment, and it will instantly convert the in-game text to French. If you are a French speaker, this is the definitive way to experience the mod without any language barriers.
How to Install the Mod
Installing Read in bed par Simkatu - Trad Fr is a simple process, but it requires a few specific steps to ensure everything works correctly. First, you need to download the original mod from Simkatu's page. The translation file alone will not work without the base mod. Once you have both files, follow these instructions:
- Locate your Sims 4 Mods folder. This is typically found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
- Place the original mod package file and the translation file into the Mods folder. You can put them directly in the root of the folder or create a subfolder for organization.
- Ensure that the translation file is in the exact same folder as the original mod file. The game reads the translation as an override, so they must be together.
- Launch The Sims 4 and go to Game Options > Other to enable Mods and Scripts if you have not already done so.
- Restart the game completely after enabling mods.
This process is the same for both Windows and Mac versions of the game. After following these steps, the new interaction will appear when you click on a bed while your Sim has a book in their inventory.
