Personal SIm Hygiene by ADeepIndigo - Tradução PTBR
If you have ever watched your Sims glide through life with perfect teeth and spotless hands, you already know the base game keeps things a little too clean. The Personal SIm Hygiene by ADeepIndigo - Tradução PTBR changes that in the best possible way. This Brazilian Portuguese translation brings ADeepIndigo's detailed hygiene system to players who want their Sims to brush, wash, spray, and moisturize like real people, all with menus and buffs fully localized in PT-BR.
Instead of a single generic "hygiene" need, the mod splits personal care into four distinct modules: Dental, Body, Hair, and Hand. Each one adds new interactions, new moodlets, and new consequences for neglect. The translation files make every label, buff name, and notification readable in Portuguese, so you never have to guess what "dry skin" or "dirty hands" means again.
What the Mod Adds to Your Game
Dental Hygiene
Sims who go more than 24 hours without brushing their teeth pick up a "bafo" (bad breath) buff that follows them through conversations. Push things further and cavities can develop, requiring a phone call to schedule a dentist visit. It is a small system, but it turns a forgotten routine into a genuine story beat.
Body Care
Dry skin appears as a buff and can be cleared with lotion. Deodorant, body spray, and perfume are applied through click interactions, and they do more than freshen up: they can raise confidence, cause dizziness in sensitive Sims, and even affect the mood of Sims standing nearby.
Hair and Facial Care
Hair products are applied at the mirror, while facial cleansers work for Sims of every age, from children to elders. Each application produces a short-lived moodlet, giving your daily routine a bit of texture without overwhelming the gameplay loop.
Hand Hygiene
Sims display a "dirty hands" buff after certain activities, and washing removes it right away. If this feature annoys you, open your Mods folder, find the mod, and delete the hands.package file. Be aware that Sims may then stop washing their hands automatically.
Supported Versions and Compatibility
The translation is built to match the current structure of The Sims 4 and works with recent patches, including the 1.10x series and later updates, as long as the original mod itself is up to date. Because it is a translation layer rather than a standalone mod, compatibility depends on ADeepIndigo's core files staying current. Two dependencies are mandatory: the Core Library and the General Pie Menus mod. Without both, the new interactions will not appear, and the PT-BR text will have nothing to attach to.
Load order matters less here than version matching. If you update the original mod, update the translation packages at the same time to avoid missing strings or broken buff names.
