PECAN PIE WITH MAPLE CREAM
There is something deeply satisfying about watching your Sim pull a golden, nutty pie out of the oven, especially when it is topped with a silky maple cream drizzle. The PECAN PIE WITH MAPLE CREAM add-on brings this cozy, homemade dessert straight into your Sims' kitchens. This is not just another reskin or a simple dish; it is a fully fleshed-out culinary experience that adds depth, skill progression, and visual flair to your cooking gameplay. Whether you are building a rustic farmhouse in Henford-on-Bagley or a sleek city apartment, this recipe fits right in.
This mod is designed for players who love the details. From the custom baking menu to the specific ingredient requirements, every aspect has been carefully crafted. If you are looking to expand your Sims' gastronomic horizons beyond the base game dishes, this is a fantastic addition to your mods folder. Let's dive into what makes this recipe so special and how you can bring it to your game.
What is the PECAN PIE WITH MAPLE CREAM Add-On?
This add-on introduces a brand-new Homestyle recipe to The Sims 4. It is not a replacement for an existing dish but a unique creation that requires a specific skill set to master. The recipe is available from the Custom Bake Menu on both the fridge and the stove, making it accessible no matter your kitchen setup. You will also find it under the standard Dessert menus, and it integrates seamlessly with the restaurant system from the Dine Out Game Pack.
One of the standout features is the visual fidelity. The pie comes with custom plates and a high-poly model that looks deliciously detailed. The polycount is optimized for performance, with high and medium versions available for both single servings and large multi-servings, ensuring your game runs smoothly without sacrificing aesthetics.
Recipe Requirements and Ingredients
To cook this masterpiece, your Sim will need to reach Cooking Skill Level 8 in the Homestyle category. This ensures that only seasoned chefs can attempt this complex dish. The recipe calls for a few key ingredients, though it is flexible for players who do not have all the expansion packs:
- 1 Flour/Sugar (from Cottage Living or Custom Food Objects)
- 1 Pecan
- 1 Maple Extract
- 1 Vanilla Extract (from Functional Mill + Add-on 5)
Here is the best part: the recipe can still be cooked even if your Sim does not have the required ingredients. The custom ingredients are entirely optional. This means you can enjoy the pie without worrying about stockpiling rare extracts, making it a stress-free addition to your culinary rotation. There is also a flat fee of 0 simoleons for a single dish, so cost is never a barrier.
Compatibility and Gameplay Integration
The creator has done an outstanding job ensuring this mod works harmoniously with a wide range of game content. It is fully compatible with Cottage Living, including the Simple Living Lot Challenge, where ingredients matter. It also works with Group Cooking, the Freegan Trait, and even the Discover University dorm chests. If you use the Realm of Magic duplication spell, that works too. The mod also supports City Living and Parenthood sack lunches, meaning your Sims can pack this pie for a school or work lunch.
For families, this is a dream. The pie is toddler compatible, meaning toddlers can eat it on the floor, in high chairs, or on the sofa. Pets can also interact with the food, and if they have the Glutton trait, they can even eat it directly. This makes it a fantastic choice for busy households where everyone, including the furry members, wants a slice of the action.
In terms of technical compatibility, this mod requires the Custom Food Objects file to function. It is a base game compatible mod, so you do not need any specific expansion packs to run it, although having Cottage Living and the Functional Mill will enhance the experience. The mod is designed to avoid conflicts with other mods, so you can safely add it to your existing load order without fear of breaking your game.
How to Install the Mod
Installing this mod is straightforward, even for beginners. First, ensure you have downloaded the required Custom Food Objects file. Then, follow these simple steps:

The launcher offers a one-click install feature that automatically places the files in the correct directory, and its add-on catalog lets you browse and download PECAN PIE WITH MAPLE CREAM for The Sims 4 without manually hunting for the files. It also handles auto-updates, so you never have to worry about version compatibility breaking your game after a patch.
Why You Should Download PECAN PIE WITH MAPLE CREAM
This mod is a labor of love that adds genuine value to The Sims 4. It is not just about the food; it is about the experience. The custom cooking steps make the process feel more involved, and the final product is a beautiful, plate-ready dessert that your Sims will love. The fact that it is vegetarian-safe and works with the Simple Living challenge makes it a versatile choice for any playstyle.
For restaurant owners, the integration with Dine Out is seamless. The pie appears under the Dessert Menu, allowing your chef Sims to add it to their restaurant's offerings.
