This ingredient pack introduces a premium tea variant that brings both fruity and floral notes to your Sims' cooking. Whether you are crafting a gourmet dinner or experimenting with new baking recipes, this milled tea offers a unique flavor profile that elevates the standard cooking experience. It is designed for players who appreciate the finer details of ingredient-based cooking in The Sims 4.
What Is the Oolong Tea Milled Ingredient?
This add-on is classified under the Tea ingredient type. The description highlights its enjoyable experience, driven by fruity and floral flavors. Once installed, your Sims can grab a serving directly from the tea bag to use as a component in various recipes. This is not a standalone item; it functions as a crafting and cooking resource, meaning you will need to pair it with compatible recipes found in the game's relations tab. It is a perfect choice for those running Simple Living or Off-the-Grid lots, as it provides a reliable ingredient source without needing a full grocery store.
How to Obtain the Ingredient
There are two primary methods to get this tea into your Sims' inventory. First, you can install the optional Mill Appliance Mod, which allows you to process raw tea leaves. Alternatively, the most straightforward method is to use the Brazen Delivery service. Your Sims can purchase the Oolong Tea Milled Ingredient by phone or through the mailbox, making it accessible even on lots with limited utilities. This flexibility ensures that your culinary experiments are never stalled by a lack of supplies.
Compatibility and Required Mods
To use this ingredient, you must have the base mod framework installed. Specifically, you need the Mill Appliance Mod, which is listed in the 'Optional' mods section of the original file page. This dependency is crucial because it provides the functional scripts that allow the tea to be milled and stored. The ingredient itself is considered new content, so it should not conflict with other creators' mods. However, it is always wise to check the 'File Info' section for any specific resource conflicts, especially if you run a heavily modded game. The add-on supports the latest The Sims 4 game patches and is compatible with both the base game and expansion packs that introduce cooking or gardening mechanics.
Installation Guide: How to Install
If you are wondering how to install this content, the process is straightforward. For users of the CurseForge app, simply click the orange install button, and the mod will be placed in the correct folder automatically. For manual installation, you must download the files listed as dependencies in the relations tab. These files are essential for the mod to function correctly. A critical rule to remember: do not place any ts4script files more than one folder deep within your Mods directory. Keeping the script files at the top level ensures the game reads them without errors.
For those looking to streamline their mod management, the foxygame.net launcher offers a robust solution. This launcher provides a one-click install feature for the Oolong Tea Milled Ingredient, automatically handling the folder structure and dependency checks. It is an excellent tool for players who want to avoid manual file sorting, as it also includes an add-on catalog that helps you track updates and ensure version compatibility with your current game build.
Recipes and Usage
Once you have the ingredient, you will find any food or crafting recipes that use it in the relations tab. These recipes are optional, but you will need at least one to utilize the tea effectively. The Oolong Tea Milled Ingredient can be used in a variety of dishes, from savory glazes to sweet desserts, thanks to its versatile flavor profile. The "Cured Oolong Tea Leaves" are a precursor ingredient, marked with an EA ingredient type icon. If you use the cured leaves, they will reduce the cooking time, indicated by the clock icon, making meal prep faster for busy Sims.
Gameplay Benefits
- Simple Living Integration: Works perfectly with the Simple Living lot challenge, allowing you to source ingredients without a fridge full of groceries.
- Off-the-Grid Friendly: Since it can be delivered via mail, it is ideal for off-the-grid households that lack standard utilities.

If you encounter issues with the content, the original creator suggests checking the troubleshooting guide linked on the mod page. Most issues stem from outdated mods or incorrect file placement. By ensuring your scripts are not buried in subfolders and that you have the latest version of the Mill Appliance Mod, you can enjoy a seamless experience. Additionally, the foxygame.net launcher provides auto-updates for the Oolong Tea Milled Ingredient, so you never have to worry about missing a patch that fixes a bug or adds new recipe compatibility.
