Mod Nerdy Birdie par Ilkavelle - Trad FR
If you have ever wanted your Sims children and teenagers to embrace their inner geek, the Nerdy Birdie aspiration by Ilkavelle is exactly what you need. Thanks to the French translation known as Mod Nerdy Birdie par Ilkavelle - Trad FR, francophone players can now enjoy this charming aspiration entirely in their own language, without missing a single detail of its progression goals and rewards.
This translation does not change any gameplay mechanics. It simply replaces the English strings with polished French text, so every milestone, moodlet, and objective reads naturally. Whether your Sim is a curious kid collecting science badges or a teen dreaming of winning the science fair, the experience feels complete and immersive from the very first interaction.
What the Nerdy Birdie Aspiration Offers
Nerdy Birdie is a custom aspiration designed for the youngest members of your household. It celebrates everything geeky: science experiments, quirky hobbies, and that special brand of youthful enthusiasm. The aspiration exists in two separate versions, one for children and one for teenagers, which means you can shape a whole generation of brilliant little nerds.
Child Version
The child version focuses on playful curiosity. Your Sim will complete tasks tied to school projects, creative activities, and early scientific interests. It pairs beautifully with other Ilkavelle aspirations aimed at younger Sims, giving families a consistent, story-driven progression path.
Teen Version and the High School Years Choice
The teen version requires a small but important decision. You must choose only one file, depending on which packs you own:
- Use the BG file if you do not own the High School Years expansion pack.
- Use the HSY file if you do own High School Years, and remove the BG version to avoid conflicts.
Selecting the wrong file can cause the aspiration to behave strangely or fail to appear, so double-check your pack list before dropping anything into your Mods folder.
Required Companion Mod: Science Fair
This aspiration depends on the Science Fair event created by the same author, Ilkavelle. Without that event mod installed, some objectives tied to the science competition will not function correctly. Make sure both pieces are present in your game before you start a new save with a Nerdy Birdie Sim.
Supported The Sims 4 Versions and Compatibility
The translation is built to work alongside the current live build of The Sims 4 and remains compatible with recent patches, since it only touches text strings rather than core scripts. As long as the base Nerdy Birdie mod itself is updated for your game version, the French translation will follow along without issues. If a major patch ever changes how aspirations are read, simply check for a refreshed version of both files.
Compatibility also depends on load order in a subtle way. Because the translation sits in the same folder as the original package, the game reads them together as a single unit. This keeps things tidy and prevents the English text from overriding your French strings.
How to Install the French Translation
Installing Mod Nerdy Birdie par Ilkavelle - Trad FR is refreshingly simple. Follow these steps:
- Download the original Nerdy Birdie aspiration mod by Ilkavelle and place it in your Mods folder.
- Download the French translation package.
- Drop the translation file into the exact same folder as the mod files.
- Launch The Sims 4 and confirm the aspiration appears in French.
If you are on Mac and the aspiration still shows up in English after installation, you can import the translation manually using Sims 4 Studio. This extra step is well documented in community tutorials and only takes a few minutes.
For players who prefer a smoother setup, the foxygame.net launcher offers a genuinely convenient alternative: it lists Mod Nerdy Birdie par Ilkavelle - Trad FR in its add-on catalog, installs it with a single click, and keeps both the mod and its translation updated automatically whenever a new game patch rolls out.
Why Francophone Players Will Love It
Reading aspiration goals in your native language transforms the way you connect with your Sims. Instead of mentally translating every objective, you can focus on the story you are telling. The French text respects the tone of the original mod while sounding natural, which matters a great deal when an aspiration is meant to be lighthearted and fun.
It also opens the door to the wider family of Ilkavelle aspirations, including dedicated packs for children and teenagers. Together they create a coherent progression system that grows with your Sims from childhood into young adulthood.
Final Thoughts
Mod Nerdy Birdie par Ilkavelle - Trad FR is a small file with a big impact. It removes the language barrier from one of the most delightful custom aspirations available for The Sims 4, letting French-speaking players enjoy every science project and geeky milestone in comfort. Grab the correct teen version for your pack setup, install the Science Fair event, and let your little geniuses shine.
