If you're looking to add a fresh, distinctive personality to your The Sims 4 game, the Mina Lieu add-on is a fantastic choice. This custom character brings a unique look and style that can enrich your neighborhoods and storytelling. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting, Mina Lieu offers a new way to experience the game.
What Is Mina Lieu?
Mina Lieu is a custom Sim created by a talented community creator. She comes with one everyday outfit, carefully put together using a variety of custom content (CC). This means she has a specific aesthetic that sets her apart from standard townies. The creator has shared her with the community, asking only that you don't claim her as your own or alter her skin color or body type. You're free to use her in your game and share your experiences, tagging the creator if you like.
Why Add Mina Lieu to Your Game?
Adding Mina Lieu to your The Sims 4 save file brings several benefits. First, she's a fully realized character with a distinct appearance, which can inspire new storylines or simply add diversity to your world. Second, she's a great example of how custom content can transform a Sim. If you enjoy using CC in your game, Mina Lieu is a perfect addition. Plus, she's designed to be compatible with a range of game versions, so you can likely use her regardless of which expansion packs you own.
Supported Versions and Compatibility
Mina Lieu for The Sims 4 is generally compatible with the base game and most expansion packs. However, since she relies on custom content, you'll need to ensure you have the required CC files installed. The creator has provided a detailed list of all the CC used, including hair, skin details, makeup, and clothing. Some items are hosted on Patreon, Tumblr, or CurseForge, and they may require separate downloads. Always check that your game is updated to the latest patch to avoid conflicts. Additionally, mod compatibility is key: if you use other mods, make sure they don't override the same features.
How to Install Mina Lieu
Installing Mina Lieu is straightforward if you follow these steps. First, download Mina Lieu from the creator's original post. You'll need to download all the required CC listed. Then, extract the files and place them in your Mods folder, typically found at Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods. Make sure to enable custom content and mods in your game settings. Once installed, Mina Lieu should appear in your gallery or as a household you can place. If you run into issues, double-check that all CC is properly installed and that your game is updated.
