Maternity Shop - EPI Mod By LoryNaMods / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra
Pregnancy in The Sims 4 is one of the most rewarding life stages, but dressing your expecting Sim in something other than the same base game outfit can feel limiting. The Maternity Shop - EPI Mod By LoryNaMods / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra solves that problem by giving your pregnant Sims a dedicated place to buy and wear maternity clothing. This release is the Spanish localization of the original module, translated by GatamolLunastra, so Spanish-speaking players can enjoy the full experience in their own language.
What This Maternity Shop Module Does
This add-on is a companion piece for the Expanded Pregnancy Interactions mod, commonly shortened to EPI. Once installed, pregnant Sims gain access to a maternity clothing shop where they can browse and purchase outfits designed specifically for pregnancy. Everything is handled through the in-game My Pregnancy App, which keeps the feature immersive and easy to reach without cluttering your normal build and buy menus.
Because the shop is delivered as a separate download rather than bundled into the main EPI package, LoryNaMods made a deliberate design choice: it prevents the incorrect installations that often happen when players mix modules together. Keeping the maternity shop standalone means fewer broken files, cleaner conflict troubleshooting, and a smoother experience for anyone modding a heavily customized game.
Requirements and Compatibility
Expansion Pack Requirement
Before you install anything, note the hard requirement: this module needs The Sims 4 High School Years expansion pack. Without that EP, the maternity shop will not function, because the feature relies on systems introduced in that pack. If you do not own High School Years, the module simply will not appear correctly in your game.
Supported Game Versions and Mod Compatibility
The Maternity Shop - EPI Mod By LoryNaMods / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra for The Sims 4 is built to work with current, fully patched versions of the base game. As with most script and interaction mods, a major game patch can temporarily break functionality until the creator updates the files. Always check that your game is up to date and that the core EPI mod is installed at a matching version, since the translation depends on the parent mod being present and functional.
Compatibility-wise, this module plays nicely with most other pregnancy and family gameplay mods, but it is wise to keep your Mods folder organized. If you use a large collection of add-ons, a launcher such as foxygame.net can simplify the process considerably: it offers a curated add-on catalog where Maternity Shop - EPI Mod By LoryNaMods / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra sits alongside your other downloads, letting you install everything with a single click and receive automatic updates whenever a new patch lands.
How to Install the Spanish Translation
Getting this module running takes only a few minutes if you follow the correct order. The most common mistake players make is installing the translation without the original mod, which leaves the shop invisible in-game.
- Download the original Expanded Pregnancy Interactions mod from its official page and place it in your Mods folder.
- Download Maternity Shop - EPI Mod By LoryNaMods / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra and add it to the same Mods directory.
- Confirm that The Sims 4 High School Years expansion is installed and enabled.
- Launch the game, open Options, and make sure both script mods and custom content are turned on.
- Restart the game completely, then open the My Pregnancy App on a pregnant Sim to test the shop.
If the shop does not appear, double-check that you did not nest the files inside extra subfolders. Script mods must sit no more than one folder deep in the Mods directory, and outdated versions of either file are the second most frequent cause of failure.
Why Spanish Players Will Appreciate This Release
Localization matters. Reading item names, descriptions, and app prompts in your native language makes the whole pregnancy system feel more natural and far less confusing, especially for younger players or anyone new to modding The Sims 4. GatamolLunastra's translation keeps the original tone intact while making every menu string readable in Spanish, so you can focus on choosing the perfect maternity outfit instead of deciphering English tooltips.
Combined with the core EPI mod, this shop transforms pregnancy from a passive waiting period into an interactive shopping experience. Your Sim can head to the app, pick out comfortable and stylish pieces, and wear them proudly through all three trimesters. It is a small addition that adds a surprising amount of personality to family gameplay.
Final Thoughts
The Maternity Shop - EPI Mod By LoryNaMods / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra is a focused, well-made module that fills a real gap in The Sims 4 pregnancy gameplay. Just remember the two essentials: install the original EPI mod first, and make sure High School Years is in your library. Do that, and your expecting Sims will finally have a wardrobe that fits the moment.
