Margarita David: A Cheerful Overachiever for Your Sims 4 World
If you enjoy populating your neighborhoods with Sims who feel genuinely alive, the Margarita David add-on for The Sims 4 is a wonderful addition to your gallery. This young adult Sim arrives with a bright, cheerful personality and the Good and Overachiever traits, making her an ideal fit for players who love storytelling, legacy challenges, or simply want a reliable, likable neighbor. Whether you are building a bustling household or a quiet suburban street, Margarita brings warmth and ambition in equal measure.
Best of all, adding her to your game is straightforward. You do not need to wrestle with complicated mod managers or script files. This is a custom Sim saved to your Tray, which means she slots directly into your in-game library and can be placed in any world you choose.
Who Is Margarita David?
Margarita David is a young adult Sim designed with a specific personality in mind. Her cheerful demeanor means she rarely stays sad for long, and her Good trait pushes her toward kindness and positive social interactions. The Overachiever trait, meanwhile, gives her a drive to excel at work, hobbies, and skill-building. Together, these traits create a Sim who is pleasant to be around but also genuinely motivated, which makes her a fantastic candidate for career-focused playthroughs or as the heart of a family-oriented save.
Because she is a Tray-based Sim, she does not overwrite any existing characters. You can place her in a new save or drop her into an established one without fear of conflicts. This flexibility is one of the reasons custom Sims remain so popular among the community.
Supported Versions and Mod Compatibility
Margarita David for The Sims 4 works across current and recent patches of the base game. Since she is delivered as Tray files rather than a script mod, she does not depend on a specific expansion pack to function. That said, the original creator used content from several packs when designing her appearance and wardrobe.
If you do not own every pack, there is no need to worry. When you place her in your game, any missing pack items simply will not appear, and you can easily swap them out for alternatives you already own. This means she remains usable whether you play with the full collection or just a handful of expansions.
What You Need Before Installing
- A working installation of The Sims 4, updated to a reasonably current version.
- The Tray folder located in your Sims 4 user directory.
- Optional: any packs referenced by her outfit if you want her to look exactly as intended.
How to Install Margarita David
Installing this Sim is one of the simplest processes in The Sims 4 modding. Follow these steps:
- Download Margarita David from your preferred source and locate the compressed file.
- Extract the contents. You should see files ending in .trayitem, .householdbinary, .sgi, and similar Tray-related extensions.
- Open your Sims 4 folder, then navigate to the Tray directory inside it.
- Move all extracted files directly into the Tray folder. Do not place them in a subfolder.
- Launch The Sims 4 and open your Gallery. Margarita should appear under your library, ready to place.
If she does not show up immediately, double-check that the files are in the correct Tray location and that you have not nested them inside an extra folder. A quick restart of the game usually resolves any lingering display issues.
For players who prefer a smoother setup, the foxygame.net launcher offers a convenient way to handle custom content like Margarita David, letting you browse an add-on catalog and install everything with a single click instead of manually sorting files. It also keeps track of version compatibility, so you spend less time troubleshooting and more time playing.
Tips for Using Margarita in Your Save
Once she is in your game, you have plenty of options. You can move her into an existing household, start a fresh one with her as the founder, or simply let her roam as an NPC who brightens up community lots. Her Overachiever trait pairs beautifully with careers like Business, Law, or any path that rewards steady progress.
If you want to customize her further, feel free to adjust her wardrobe, hair, or even her aspirations. Custom Sims are meant to be adapted to your playstyle, and Margarita is no exception.

Margarita David is a charming, well-rounded Sim who fits naturally into almost any Sims 4 save.
