Lunara: A Stunning Custom Sim for The Sims 4
If you're looking to add a touch of ethereal beauty to your game, Lunara is a custom Sim that delivers exactly that. Created with a delicate, moon-inspired aesthetic, this Sim has become a favorite among players who love detailed character design. Whether you're a seasoned CC collector or new to custom content, Lunara offers a polished, ready-to-play character that fits seamlessly into any save file.
What Makes Lunara Special
Lunara stands out thanks to her carefully curated look. The creator has combined a wide range of custom content, from skin overlays and 3D lashes to subtle contouring and a flowing dress, to create a Sim that feels both natural and otherworldly. The name itself evokes moonlight, and the design reflects that soft, glowing quality.
One of the best things about Lunara is her versatility. She works well as a spellcaster, a romantic interest, or a mysterious neighbor in your Sims 4 world. Because the creator focused on a cohesive style, she doesn't look out of place next to maxis-match or alpha-style Sims.
Base-Game Compatibility and Version Support
Lunara for The Sims 4 is base-game compatible, meaning you don't need any expansion packs to use her. Only the tray files are included in the download, so you'll need to grab the custom content separately to get the exact look shown in the preview images. The creator has provided a full list of CC links, covering everything from hair and skin details to sliders and presets.
When it comes to supported versions, Lunara works with the latest Sims 4 patches. However, some custom content items, especially sliders and presets, may require updates if the game receives a major patch. Always check that your CC is compatible with your current game version to avoid broken features. The tray files themselves are generally version-agnostic, so Lunara will still appear in your gallery even if some CC is missing.
How to Install Lunara
Installing Lunara is straightforward. First, download the tray files from the creator's page. Then, place them in your Sims 4 Tray folder, which you can find in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray. Next, download all the custom content listed and place those files in your Mods folder. Finally, enable custom content and script mods in your game settings, restart The Sims 4, and look for Lunara in your gallery under the "My Library" tab.
If you want a faster way to manage your add-ons, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install option that automatically places Lunara and other Sims 4 content into the correct folders, saving you from manual file sorting. It's a handy tool for keeping your mod library organized.
Mod Compatibility Tips
Because Lunara relies on a long list of custom content, mod compatibility is key. Here are a few tips to keep her looking perfect:
- Always download the exact CC versions linked by the creator.
- Use a mod manager to detect conflicts or missing files.
- Check for updates to sliders and presets after each game patch.
- Back up your Tray and Mods folders before adding new content.
If you skip a CC item, Lunara will still load, but her appearance may change. For example, missing skin overlays or 3D lashes can make her look different from the preview. That's why the creator emphasizes downloading everything on the list.
