Lovestruck Lingerie Net Wearable by Teens
Have you ever browsed through your teen Sim's wardrobe in The Sims 4 and thought, "This is ridiculously unfair"? You are not alone. The Lovestruck Lingerie Net Wearable by Teens mod fixes one of the most puzzling fashion restrictions in the game. This simple yet brilliant override takes the gorgeous lingerie net outfit from the Lovestruck Expansion and finally makes it available for your teenage Sims.
It is a common frustration for builders and storytellers alike. The base game and its expansions often gate certain clothing items behind age restrictions that feel arbitrary. This mod addresses that head-on, ensuring that your teen Sims can express their style without limitation. If you want to add a touch of modern, cute fashion to your younger characters, this is the perfect addition to your mods folder.
Why This Mod Was Created
The creator of this mod noticed a glaring inconsistency. The lingerie net outfit, while categorized as intimate wear, is actually less revealing than many other outfits that teen Sims can already wear. It is cute, stylish, and fits the aesthetic of many contemporary teen characters. The modder simply recategorized the outfit, removing the age lock without altering the mesh or any of the original swatches. This means you get the exact same high-quality item, just with expanded usability.
What's Included in the Override
This is a straightforward override file. It does not add new clothing items to the game. Instead, it changes the permissions on the existing asset. This ensures compatibility and performance. You will find the outfit in the same category as before, but now it will appear when you are dressing a teen Sim. There are no changes to the textures, colors, or fit. It is a pure quality-of-life fix.
- Override File: Replaces the age restriction data for the specific outfit.
- Mesh Integrity: No changes to the original 3D model or textures.
- Swatch Preservation: All original color options remain available.
- Expansion Requirement: Requires the Lovestruck Expansion Pack to function.
Compatibility and Requirements
Before you download Lovestruck Lingerie Net Wearable by Teens, you need to ensure your game is up to date. This mod requires the Lovestruck Expansion to be installed. It is an override, which means it will conflict with any other mod that alters the same outfit. It is always best practice to check your mod manager for duplicates. The mod works with the base game mechanics of The Sims 4, and it does not require any other DLC to run, though having the expansion is mandatory.
Since this is a recategorization mod, it is generally safe for most game versions. However, major game patches can sometimes reset clothing data. If you find the mod is not working after an update, simply re-download the file and replace the old one. This is a standard procedure for all override mods in the community.
How to Install the Mod
Installing this mod is a breeze. First, ensure your game is completely closed. Then, navigate to your Sims 4 mods folder, typically found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. Simply drag and drop the downloaded package file into this folder. You do not need to unzip it if it is a .package file. If it comes in a .zip, extract the contents first. Once the file is in place, launch your game and go to Game Options > Other to enable mods and script mods if you haven't already. Restart the game for the changes to take effect.
If you are looking for a more streamlined way to manage your custom content, the foxygame.net launcher offers a fantastic solution. With its integrated add-on catalog, you can browse, download, and manage mods like the Lovestruck Lingerie Net Wearable by Teens without leaving the launcher. For those who love storytelling, this mod is a game-changer. It allows for more diverse character development. You can now dress your teen Sims in styles that reflect modern youth culture without having to age them up. It removes the arbitrary barrier and gives you full creative control.
