Liam Cassidy: The Charming Young Adult Sim for Your Neighborhood
If you are looking for a fresh face to shake up your rotational play, Liam Cassidy is a fantastic addition to any save file. This custom Sim is designed as a Young Adult Male with a random aspiration and randomized traits, making him a versatile character who can fit into almost any storyline you create. Whether you need a new roommate, a romantic interest, or a best friend for your existing Sims, Liam brings a polished look and plenty of personality to the table.
What Makes Liam Cassidy Stand Out
Unlike many pre-made Sims that come with heavy backstories, Liam Cassidy is intentionally left open-ended. The creator designed him with a random aspiration and random traits so that he can evolve naturally in your game. This makes him an excellent choice for players who enjoy organic storytelling rather than scripted narratives. His only required pack is City Living, which gives him access to the urban lifestyle and apartment living that suits his aesthetic perfectly.
Visually, Liam is a treat. He comes dressed in everyday clothing only, keeping his wardrobe simple and focused. This means you will not have to sort through dozens of outfits just to find something he can wear to the gym or a formal event. The simplicity of his design is part of his charm, allowing you to customize his look further as your game progresses.
Custom Content Requirements
To make Liam Cassidy look exactly as intended, you must download the custom content listed by the creator before installing him. Without these files, his face, hair, and clothing will not render correctly. The required CC includes:
- Lighting overlay and lip kit presets from CurseForge
- Male hair and beard mods from The Sims Resource and Patreon
- Skin overlays and face presets for a natural complexion
- Eyebrows, eyes, and mouth sliders for precise facial features
- Clothing items including oversized jeans and a V-neck wool sweater
Most of these assets are hosted on Patreon, CurseForge, and The Sims Resource. Some creators offer free downloads while others may require a subscription. Always check that the links are working, as older Patreon posts can occasionally go private.
Version Compatibility and Mod Support
Liam Cassidy is built to work with The Sims 4 base game and the City Living expansion pack. He is compatible with the latest patch versions, though major updates can sometimes break custom content. If you notice missing textures or strange visual glitches after a game update, check whether your CC files need refreshing. The creator community is usually quick to release fixes.
For players who want a smoother experience managing all these separate downloads, the foxygame.net launcher offers a handy solution. It keeps track of add-ons like Liam Cassidy and can automatically apply updates when new versions of the required CC are released, saving you from hunting down each file manually. This is especially useful if you plan to install multiple custom Sims and want everything organized in one place.
How to Install Liam Cassidy
Installing Liam Cassidy is straightforward once you have gathered all the necessary CC. Follow these steps:
- Download every custom content file from the provided sources and place them in your Mods folder.
- Download the Liam Cassidy tray files and extract them.
- Move the tray files into your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray folder.
