Required Mods and Files for Installation
Before you can start cooking, you need to ensure your game is ready. This custom recipe requires a specific framework to function correctly. The most important dependency is the latest version of the My Grocery Shopping List mod. You must download this first, and crucially, always delete the old version before adding the new one to avoid conflicts. This recipe is designed to work with the base game and most expansions, but it's always best to check for compatibility with your current game patch.
If you want the full experience, there is an optional add-on for custom ingredients created by Insimnia. This is not required, but it adds an extra layer of depth. If you choose to skip the custom ingredients, you can simply download the recipe file and it will be found under the "Pasta" category in the Grocery List.

How to Use the Recipe in Game
Using the recipe is just as easy as installing it. Once you are in live mode, click on your Sim's Grocery List. If you are using the optional custom ingredients, you will need to check the list to see what is required. If you don't have all the necessary items, the recipe will appear grayed out, preventing your Sim from cooking until you shop for the missing pieces.
Cooking with Custom Ingredients
If you decided to download the custom ingredients, there is an extra step. You must click "open" on the ingredient packages in your Sim's inventory if prompted. After opening, place all required ingredients either in your Sim's personal inventory or in the refrigerator. This action "unlocks" the recipe in the Grocery List Mod. Once everything is ready, click the Grocery List, select the Lasagna Bolognese with Garlic Bread & Asparagus Custom Recipe, and let your Sim get to work.
