If you are looking to refresh your neighborhood with a character who already has a strong sense of style, Josie Brandt is a fantastic choice. Whether you need a new roommate, a best friend for your existing Sims, or a protagonist for your next story, Josie Brandt for The Sims 4 delivers personality and fashion in one package.
What Makes Josie Brandt Stand Out
Josie is designed as a Young Adult, making her perfect for players who want a Sim with established goals and a mature vibe. Her default look focuses on an everyday dress, so she is ready to head to work, grab coffee, or hang out with friends without needing a wardrobe change. The outfit is stylish yet practical, and it gives her an instant identity in your game.
One of the best things about this Sim is that she is Base Game Compatible. That means you do not need to own every expansion pack to bring her into your world. As long as you have The Sims 4 base game, you can add Josie to your household and start playing right away. This makes her accessible to a wide range of players, from those with just the core game to those with a full library of packs.
Custom Content and Installation Requirements
To get the exact look shown in the preview images, you will need to install the required custom content (CC). Josie uses a specific list of CC items, including hair, clothing, accessories, and makeup. Some of the key pieces include the simstrouble Unisex Hair NicoV3, the turksimmer Mock Neck Tshirt Dress, and a variety of skin details, eyes, and lip presets from creators like Angissi, Bobur, and RemusSirion.
Before you download Josie Brandt, make sure you gather all the listed CC files. Missing even one item can change her appearance, so it is worth checking the list twice. The required CC includes:
- Hair: simstrouble_UnisexHair_NicoV3
- Clothing: turksimmer SET297 and SET339, Harmonia_MD_y2k1_Dress02, RemusSirion_clothes-45_Taxa-merged
- Accessories: EnriqueS4_yfAcc_PalmaHairSticks, GiuliettaSims jewelry, S-Club head accessories and rings
- Makeup and skin: ANGISSI eyebrows and eyes, Bobur blush, Caroll91 lip preset, Coffeemoon lashes, and more
When you are ready to install, the process is straightforward. First, download the Sim file and all the required CC. Then, place the .package files into your Mods folder, which is usually found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. If you prefer to keep things organized, create a subfolder named after Josie Brandt so you can easily find her later. Finally, launch the game and enable custom content and mods in the Game Options menu. Once that is done, Josie will appear in your Gallery or as a household you can place in any world.
For players who want an even smoother experience, the foxygame.net launcher offers a convenient way to manage your Sims 4 add-ons. With its one-click install feature, you can add Josie Brandt to your game without manually sorting through dozens of CC files, saving you time and reducing the risk of missing content.
Version Compatibility and Mod Support
Josie Brandt is designed to work with the current version of The Sims 4. Because she relies on custom content rather than script mods, she generally remains compatible across game updates. However, it is always a good idea to check that your CC is up to date, especially after a major patch. If you use other mods, such as MC Command Center or custom sliders, Josie should still function normally as long as there are no conflicts with the specific CC items she requires.
If you run into issues where Josie appears with missing items or a different look, the most common cause is a missing CC file or an outdated package. Re-downloading the required content and clearing your cache files can often resolve the problem. Keeping your Mods folder tidy and using a mod manager can also help you avoid conflicts.

Josie Brandt is a well-crafted Young Adult Sim who brings a touch of everyday glamour to The Sims 4. Her Base Game Compatibility makes her easy to adopt, while the detailed CC list gives her a unique appearance that stands out in any save. Whether you are a storyteller, a builder, or someone who simply loves creating diverse characters, Josie is a worthy addition to your game.
