Holden Leach: A Handsome Young Adult Male Sim for The Sims 4
If you are looking to expand your neighborhood with a distinctive male character, Holden Leach is a fantastic choice. This custom Sim is designed as a young adult male with a random aspiration and random traits, making him a versatile addition to any household. Whether you want a new romantic interest for your legacy family or a fresh face for your next story, this Sim delivers personality and style in equal measure.
What Makes Holden Leach Stand Out
Holden Leach is built on the Base Game only, which means you do not need any expansion packs, game packs, or stuff packs to use him. That said, the creator has used a generous amount of custom content to give him his signature look. From his textured beard to his defined eyebrows, every detail has been carefully selected to create a cohesive and attractive appearance.
The aspiration and traits are randomized, so each time you add him to a new save file, you may get a slightly different personality. This adds a fun element of surprise and makes him feel like a genuine, unpredictable character rather than a preset clone. He comes dressed in everyday clothing only, keeping his wardrobe simple and letting you decide how to style him further once he is in your game.
Custom Content Requirements
Before you download Holden Leach, it is important to understand that he relies on several pieces of custom content to look exactly as shown in the preview images. If you skip this step, he will still work, but his appearance will not match the promotional screenshots. The required CC includes hair, facial hair, skin details, makeup, and sliders.
- Elijah Beard N14 for facial hair
- Male Asian hair and Cartoon Style II hair options
- Journey Cartoon and Boys Boys Boys hairstyles
- Tyrell Hair for an alternative look
- Jummy Eyeliner and Wakuu Blush for facial definition
- Hydro Lipstick and KK Basic Sets 14 and 22
- Cody Eyebrows N281 and Eyebrow Slider 02
- F M Face Part I and Mouth Scale Slider by Teanmoon
All of these items are available from popular Sims 4 CC sites such as The Sims Resource, Patreon, and CurseForge. Make sure you download every single one before you install Holden Leach for The Sims 4, otherwise his face and hair will look different from the pictures.
How to Install Holden Leach in The Sims 4
Installing a custom Sim is a straightforward process, but it does require a few specific steps. First, download the Holden Leach tray files. These usually come in a compressed folder containing files with extensions like .trayitem, .householdbinary, .sgi, and .hhi. Extract them to your desktop or a folder you can easily find.
Next, open your Sims 4 folder. On Windows, this is typically located in Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4. Inside, you will find a folder named Tray. Move all the extracted tray files into that Tray folder. If you also downloaded the custom content listed above, place those .package files into your Mods folder instead. Do not put tray files in the Mods folder, as they will not work there.
Once the files are in place, launch The Sims 4. Go to your Gallery and look for the household or Sim named Holden Leach. You may need to enable custom content in your game options first. If you are using the foxygame.net launcher, you can skip most of this manual work, since Holden Leach is available directly through its add-on catalog and installs with a single click.
Version Compatibility and Mod Support
Holden Leach is compatible with the Base Game and works across all current versions of The Sims 4, including the latest patches. Because he uses custom content, you should ensure that your game is updated and that script mods are enabled if any of the required CC relies on them. Most of the listed items are standard package files, so they should not conflict with other mods in your folder.
If you run into issues where Holden Leach appears with missing hair or skin details, double-check that every CC item has been downloaded and placed in the correct folder. Conflicting sliders or outdated eyebrow mods can also cause visual glitches, so keep your Mods folder organized and remove anything you no longer use.
Final Thoughts
Holden Leach is a well-crafted male Sim who brings charm and variety to The Sims 4. With his Base Game compatibility, randomized traits, and detailed custom content, he fits seamlessly into almost any save file. Just remember to grab all the required CC first, follow the installation steps carefully, and enjoy watching him become part of your Sim stories. Whether he becomes a devoted partner, a career-driven bachelor, or a chaotic roommate, Holden Leach is ready to make your game more interesting.
