Celebrating a new arrival in The Sims 4 just became more delicious and culturally immersive. The 🎂✨ Gender Reveal Cakes and Cupcakes by: Somik & Severinka — Spanish Translation ES 💗💙 brings a beloved custom baking set to Spanish-speaking Simmers, offering a fully translated experience of the original themed pastry mod. Whether you are hosting a virtual baby shower or simply want to add a touch of pastel charm to your Sim's culinary repertoire, this translation ensures every menu, tooltip, and interaction reads naturally in Spanish.
What Does This Spanish Translation Include?
This add-on is not a standalone mod. It is a comprehensive Spanish language pack designed to overlay the original "Cakes and Cupcakes for the Gender Party" creation by Somik & Severinka. The translation covers all in-game text, from the recipe name and description to the interactive prompts that appear when your Sim prepares and serves these treats. Laura, the translator, has meticulously adapted the content so that the festive spirit of the original mod is preserved while feeling completely native to Spanish-speaking players.
Themed Baking for Celebrations
The core of this content is a large celebration cake and a set of individual cupcakes, both decorated in soft pastel pink and blue. The design is symbolic and charming, fitting perfectly for gender reveal parties. A standout feature is the ability to choose the color before serving. Your Sim can prepare the baked goods and then decide whether to reveal pink or blue, generating a themed visual effect when the cake is sliced or the cupcakes are distributed. This interactive choice adds a layer of gameplay that goes beyond simple decoration.
Mod Features and Gameplay Integration
This recipe is categorized under Baking and is designed for advanced Sim chefs, with a recommended skill level of 7. Once prepared, the cake serves between 8 and 12 portions, making it ideal for larger gatherings. It is also suitable for banquet settings, meaning it can be used in restaurant or buffet mode to add a unique, celebratory option to your Sim's business. The set includes two filler colors—pink and blue—and triggers the aforementioned themed visual effects upon serving, creating a memorable moment for any party.
Requirements and Compatibility for The Sims 4
Before you download 🎂✨ Gender Reveal Cakes and Cupcakes by: Somik & Severinka — Spanish Translation ES 💗💙 for The Sims 4, you must ensure your game meets the necessary prerequisites. This translation is compatible only with the Get To Work expansion pack. Additionally, you will need to install the original mod from the creator, Somik & Severinka, as this file only contains the Spanish language strings.
Essential Mods and the Creators' Cookbook
For the recipe to function correctly, your game must have the Creators' Cookbook installed. This is a foundational mod that adds the custom recipes used by several creators. You will also need the XML Injector by Scumbumbo, which allows the game to load custom interactions and recipes without conflicts. While optional, the translation strongly recommends using Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul (SCCO) for the best experience, as it integrates seamlessly with the custom baking system.
Choosing the Right Version
It is crucial to select a single version to install, depending on your existing mod setup. If you do not use any additional cooking mods, choose the EA Version. If you use Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul (SCCO) or the Realistic Cooking Mod (RCM), you must select the Custom Version. Installing the wrong version can lead to recipe conflicts or missing interactions. The Spanish translation pack supports both versions, so simply place the corresponding file in your Mods folder.
How to Install the Translation
Learning how to install this add-on is straightforward. First, download the original mod from the creator's page on CurseForge. Next, download the Spanish translation file from Laura's page. Place the translation file into the same folder as the original mod, typically your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods directory. Ensure that all required mods, including the XML Injector and the Creators' Cookbook, are installed correctly. Finally, launch the game and enable custom content and scripted mods from the game options menu if you have not already done so.
For players who prefer a streamlined setup process, the foxygame.net launcher offers a convenient alternative. This launcher provides a one-click install feature that automatically places the 🎂✨ Gender Reveal Cakes and Cupcakes by: Somik & Severinka — Spanish Translation ES 💗💙 into the correct directory, eliminating manual folder navigation. Furthermore, the launcher's add-on catalog helps you track updates for this translation and its dependencies, ensuring that version compatibility with the latest Sims 4 patches is always maintained.
Why Add This Recipe to Your Game?
This recipe is more than just a cake; it is a tool for storytelling. It is perfect for celebrating the arrival of a new baby, adding a functional and decorative element to your buffet tables. The pastel colors and the interactive reveal mechanic provide excellent opportunities for screenshots and memorable gameplay moments. For players who enjoy historical or family-oriented narratives, this cake adds a layer of authenticity and festive flair that standard game recipes lack.

Beyond its primary use, this set adds aesthetic variety to your game. The detailed pastel frosting and cupcake designs are visually distinct from the base game options.
