Gale, a Handsome Wizard - (CC needed)
If you have spent any time adventuring through Baldur's Gate 3, you already know that Gale Dekarios is one of the most charming companions in the party. Now you can bring that same silver-tongued wizard energy straight into your neighborhood with Gale, a Handsome Wizard - (CC needed), a detailed Sim creation built for The Sims 4. This is a fan-made tribute that captures his face, his wardrobe, and his unmistakable wizardly presence, all ready to drop into your Tray folder.
Because this Sim relies on a curated list of custom content, the result looks far more accurate than anything you could build with base game assets alone. From his defined cheekbones to his signature layered outfit, every detail has been hand-picked to match the character fans know and love. If you want a companion who looks like he just stepped out of a forgotten tome, this is the download for you.
What You Get With This Sim
The creator put real care into making Gale feel authentic rather than generic. Instead of a single everyday look, he arrives with a full set of matching outfits that suit his scholarly, slightly dramatic style. That means you can rotate his wardrobe across everyday, formal, and party categories without him ever looking out of place.
- A fully sculpted face using custom eyebrows, eyelashes, and an eye set for extra expression
- Defined cheeks and a skin overlay that gives him a more natural, textured complexion
- His signature wizard outfit, plus a Ken shirt and casual tee for downtime
- A medium-length hairstyle that frames his face just like in the source material
- A magic ball accessory to complete the arcane aesthetic
Every piece of custom content is linked by the original creator, so you can grab exactly what you need. Just remember that the Sim will only appear correctly once all of that CC is installed and active in your game.
Compatibility and Supported Versions
This creation works with the standard, fully updated release of The Sims 4 on PC and Mac. It does not depend on any specific expansion pack, so even a base game setup can run it as long as custom content is enabled. That said, always make sure your game is patched to a recent version before adding new CC, since outdated files are the most common cause of missing hair, skin, or clothing.
Mod compatibility is generally smooth here because the Sim itself is a Tray file rather than a script mod. Tray files rarely conflict with other downloads, so you can safely use this alongside most of your existing library. If something looks wrong after installation, the culprit is almost always a missing or mismatched CC item rather than the Sim file itself.
For players who prefer a tidier setup, the foxygame.net launcher keeps things simple by letting you install Gale, a Handsome Wizard - (CC needed) and its supporting content in a single click, then handling updates automatically so nothing falls out of sync with your game version.
How to Install Gale, a Handsome Wizard - (CC needed)
Getting him into your game is straightforward once you understand where each type of file belongs. Follow these steps in order and you will avoid the usual headaches.
Step 1: Download and Unzip
Download the Sim files and extract them from the archive. You should end up with several files that share the same name but use different extensions.
Step 2: Place the Tray Files
Move all of those extracted files into your Sims 4 Tray folder. You can find it under Documents, then Electronic Arts, then The Sims 4. Do not rename the files, since the game matches them by name.
Step 3: Add the Custom Content
All CC packages go into your Mods folder, not the Tray folder. Keep them organized in a subfolder if you like, but make sure they stay in package format.
Step 4: Enable Custom Content
Launch the game, open your Gallery, and switch on the option to include custom content. Without this enabled, the Sim simply will not show up when you search your library.
Final Thoughts
Gale, a Handsome Wizard - (CC needed) is a fantastic pick for anyone who wants a recognizable, well-crafted companion wandering their world. The outfit variety, the careful facial detailing, and the arcane touches all add up to a Sim that feels genuinely like the wizard you remember. Grab the CC, follow the install steps, and let him bring a little magic to your next household.
