Compatibility and Supported Game Versions

This mod is designed to work with the base game of The Sims 4, and it does not require any specific expansion packs to function. However, for the best experience, it is recommended to have your game updated to the latest patch. The mod has been tested against recent updates and shows no conflicts with standard gameplay mechanics. As with any custom content, it is always wise to check for updates after major game patches, but the core functionality of this phone remains stable.

Regarding mod compatibility, this add-on is a standalone object. It does not alter existing game files, which means it will not conflict with other popular mods like UI extensions, custom careers, or overhaul systems. The only requirement is that you must have the original Functional Wall Phone mod by awingedllama installed, as this file is purely a translation add-on. You cannot use the translation without the base mod.

Installation Guide: How to Install

Installing this add-on is a straightforward process, even for those new to modding. Follow these simple steps to get the phone ringing in your Sims' homes:

1. Download the original Functional Wall Phone mod from awingedllama's page.
2. Download the Functional Wall Phone + 1920s Wall Phone by awingedllama | POLSKIE TŁUMACZENIE translation file.
3. Extract both files if they are in ZIP or RAR format.
4. Place the original mod's .package file and the translation file into the same folder within your Mods directory (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods).
5. Do not rename either file. The translation relies on the original file's name to function correctly.
6. Launch the game and enable "Script Mods" and "Custom Content" in the Game Options menu if you haven't already.
7. Restart the game to ensure everything loads properly.

Once installed, you will find the wall phone in the "Electronics" or "Miscellaneous" section of the Build Mode catalog. Simply place it on any wall and click on it to see the translated interactions.

For players who prefer a more streamlined approach, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click installation feature. Instead of manually dragging files into your Mods folder, you can use the launcher's add-on catalog to install and manage the Functional Wall Phone + 1920s Wall Phone by awingedllama | POLSKIE TŁUMACZENIE with minimal effort. The launcher automatically handles file placement and can even check for version compatibility, ensuring your game runs smoothly without manual file management.

Why Choose This Translation?

The original mod by awingedllama is already a fantastic piece of custom content, but the language barrier can be a hurdle for Polish players. This translation bridges that gap perfectly. It is not a machine translation; it is a careful, community-driven localization that respects the tone and context of the game. The result is a seamless experience that feels like the phone was always meant to be in Polish.

Furthermore, the translation is merged with the original mod description, providing clear instructions and credits. This attention to detail ensures that users know exactly what they are downloading and how to make it work. The creator has also included links to their social channels for support and updates, which is always a good sign of a dedicated modder.

Tips for Using the Wall Phone in Gameplay

• Place the phone in a hallway or kitchen for a realistic period look.
• Use it in a "calling" roleplay scenario for your legacy challenges.
• Combine it with other 1920s CC to create a fully immersive vintage lot.
• Children can use it to call friends, which is a great way to build social skills.

If you are using the foxygame.net launcher, you will also benefit from automatic update notifications. When a new patch for The Sims 4 drops, the launcher checks your installed add-ons, including the Functional Wall Phone + 1920s Wall Phone by awingedllama | POLSKIE TŁUMACZENIE, and flags any potential issues.
