Functional Tea Pot
Simmers who love adding cozy, cultural depth to their gameplay will find the Functional Tea Pot an absolute must-have. This clever custom content add-on transforms a simple kitchen counter into a serene tea station, letting your Sims craft five distinct Korean-inspired teas, each with its own special moodlet. Whether you are building a traditional hanok or a modern apartment with a hygge vibe, this teapot fits right in.
What Makes the Functional Tea Pot Special?
Unlike decorative clutter, this teapot is fully interactive. Your Sims can walk up to it, select "Make Special Tea," and choose from a menu of five authentic beverages. The attention to detail is impressive, from the visual design of the pot itself to the thoughtful effects each tea has on your Sim's emotional state. It is a small appliance that delivers big personality.
Five Teas, Five Distinct Moodlets
The tea selection is inspired by traditional Korean drinks, though many of these are beloved across other Asian countries too. Here is what your Sims can brew:
- Barley Tea – A nutty, roasted classic that offers a calming, grounded moodlet, perfect after a stressful workday.
- Omija Tea – Known as the "five-flavor berry," this tea provides a balanced and focused emotional state.
- Green Plum Tea – Sweet and tangy, this brew brings a playful, energized moodlet to your Sim.
- Citron Tea – A bright, citrusy option that boosts a warm and social moodlet, ideal for gatherings.
- Chrysanthemum Tea – Floral and soothing, this tea grants a serene, contemplative moodlet that pairs well with reading or painting.
Each drink also has optional ingredients. If your Sim has the required items in their inventory, the tea is free to make. Otherwise, they can simply purchase the drink outright, making it accessible for any household budget.
Where to Find and How to Use It
Once installed, you can find the teapot in Buy Mode under Appliances > Small Appliances. There are eight different recolors available, so you can match the pot to any kitchen aesthetic, from sleek modern to rustic farmhouse. The unit costs just $170 Simoleons, making it an affordable luxury. The best part? The teapot can be placed almost anywhere – on a table, counter, or even directly on the ground, giving you total flexibility in your builds.
