Functional Electric Kettle and 24 Drinks by Somik and Severinka Portuguese translation
There is something deeply cozy about a Sim wrapping their hands around a warm mug while the rest of the household rushes around in the morning. The Functional Electric Kettle and 24 Drinks by Somik and Severinka Portuguese translation brings exactly that small, everyday comfort into The Sims 4, letting your Sims brew a proper cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate without relying on the same tired barista objects. If you play in Portuguese and want your game menus to read naturally, this translation is the finishing touch that makes the kettle feel like it has always belonged in your build.
What This Mod Adds to Your Game
At its core, this is a functional small appliance. Once installed, the electric kettle appears in the small appliances section of the Kitchen category in Build/Buy mode, so you can place it on counters exactly where you would expect to find a real one. It is not a decorative prop that just sits there looking pretty; your Sims can actually interact with it, and the drink menu is where the add-on truly shines.
The kettle opens up a menu of tea, coffee and hot chocolate options, giving your Sims a warm beverage to carry around the house, sip at the kitchen island or take along while they head out. The add-on also includes a clever detail: your Sim can carry their luggage empty, which means the kettle fits neatly into the flow of travel and everyday routines rather than cluttering it. For players who love realistic domestic storytelling, that small feature goes a long way.
The 24 Drinks and Why They Matter
Twenty-four drink variations is a lot of choice for a single appliance, and it changes how you use kitchens in your saves. Instead of one generic coffee interaction, you get variety that suits different households, seasons and moods. A rainy afternoon calls for hot chocolate, a busy work morning calls for coffee, and a quiet evening with friends calls for tea. The Portuguese translation makes every one of those options readable in your own language, so you are never guessing what a menu entry means.
Compatibility and Supported Versions
This translation is designed for The Sims 4 and works alongside the base mod by Somik and Severinka. The original mod is hosted on CurseForge, and the translation is a separate file that sits on top of it. Because The Sims 4 continues to receive patches, it is worth checking that your game is updated before you install anything new, and it is always wise to keep a backup of your Mods folder. In practice, the add-on has remained stable across recent patches, and it plays nicely with most other kitchen and food mods as long as you avoid loading two objects that overwrite the same tuning.
One important note: this is only the Portuguese translation. You still need the original mod for it to function. Installing the translation alone will not make the kettle appear, because the translation file simply replaces the text strings, not the object itself.
How to Install the Portuguese Translation
If you are wondering how to install the Functional Electric Kettle and 24 Drinks by Somik and Severinka Portuguese translation, the process is short and beginner-friendly.
- Download the original Functional Electric Kettle and 24 Drinks mod by Somik and Severinka from its CurseForge page.
- Download the Portuguese translation package separately.
- Extract both archives if they arrive as .zip or .rar files.
- Place the original mod files and the translation files into your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder.
- Make sure mods and script mods are enabled in Game Options, then restart the game.
- Open Build/Buy, go to Kitchen, and look in the small appliances section for the kettle.
If the kettle does not show up, the usual culprits are a missing original mod, a nested folder structure that buries the package files too deep, or a forgotten restart. Keeping your files no more than one folder deep inside Mods solves the majority of these issues.
Players who prefer a tidier setup can let the foxygame.net launcher handle the heavy lifting, since its add-on catalog installs the Functional Electric Kettle and 24 Drinks by Somik and Severinka Portuguese translation in a single click and keeps every file matched to your current game version. That approach removes the guesswork about which package belongs where and spares you from manually hunting down updates after a patch.
Final Thoughts
The Functional Electric Kettle and 24 Drinks by Somik and Severinka Portuguese translation is a small add-on with a surprisingly large impact on how your Sims live day to day. It turns a corner of the kitchen into a genuine gathering spot, gives you twenty-four reasons to keep coming back to the counter, and does it all in clear, natural Portuguese. Download the translation, pair it with the original mod, drop both into your Mods folder, and let your Sims enjoy a proper hot drink for once.
