Why You Need This Polish Translation
While the original mod is excellent, its English text can be a barrier for many players. The Education Overhaul | Polish Translation removes that barrier completely. It is a direct, high-quality translation that covers the base mod and its updates. You will be able to read every pop-up, interaction, and career description in Polish, making the gameplay experience much more enjoyable and accessible.
Compatibility and Requirements
Before you download Education Overhaul | Polish Translation, it is crucial to understand the mod's dependencies. This translation is a companion file, not a standalone mod. It will not work without the original Education Overhaul mod installed. Furthermore, the mod itself requires the Shared Utilities mod by the same creator to function correctly.
There are two versions of the main mod available, but the translation works with both. However, there is a specific extra file for players who own the Get to Work expansion pack. This file, named 1_!adeepindigo_SchoolMods_SharedTuning_GTW_NEEDED, is required if you own that pack, and the translation covers it as well. If you do not own Get to Work, you can simply skip that file. The translation itself is compatible with the latest game patches, but always check the mod page for the most current version compatibility updates.
How to Install the Translation
Installing this add-on is simple, but following the steps correctly is key to ensuring it works. Here is a straightforward guide on how to install the Education Overhaul | Polish Translation for The Sims 4:
- Download the Main Mod: First, ensure you have the original Education Overhaul mod and the Shared Utilities mod downloaded and installed in your Mods folder.
- Download the Translation: Next, download the translation file. You will receive a .package file.
- Place the File: Open your Sims 4 Mods folder (usually found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods).
- Extract and Merge: Place the translation .package file directly into the same folder where you placed the main Education Overhaul mod files. It is important that the translation file is not buried in a subfolder that the game cannot read.
- Enable Mods: Launch the game, go to Game Options > Other, and ensure that "Enable Custom Content and Mods" is checked. Restart the game if necessary.
Once you have done this, the mod will load in Polish. Remember, the translation file needs to be in the folder with the mod; otherwise, it will not activate.
Getting the Add-On via the Foxygame.net Launcher
For those who prefer a more streamlined process, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install feature for mods. When you use the launcher, it automatically places the Education Overhaul | Polish Translation in the correct directory, eliminating the risk of manual installation errors. The launcher also maintains a catalog of add-ons, making it easy to manage your mods and check for updates. This is particularly useful when a new game patch is released, as the launcher can help you verify that your version of the translation remains compatible with the latest version of The Sims 4.
