Darrius Arteaga: A Custom Male Sim for The Sims 4
If your Sims 4 neighborhoods feel a little too familiar, a fresh face can change everything. Darrius Arteaga is a custom young adult male Sim designed to bring genuine character to your save files. He is built for players who love detailed, realistic-looking Sims and want a ready-made addition without spending hours in Create A Sim. This guide covers who he is, what he needs, and how to bring him into your game.
Who Is Darrius Arteaga?
Darrius Arteaga is a young adult male Sim with a sharp, modern look and a carefully sculpted face. His aspiration and traits are set to Random, which means his personality develops differently depending on your playthrough, giving you freedom to shape his story. He arrives dressed in his Everyday outfit only, keeping the setup simple while leaving room for you to expand his wardrobe.
What makes him stand out is the custom content behind his appearance. His face, skin, and hair rely on high-quality creator assets, so he looks polished next to default townies. Whether you cast him as a rising artist, a quiet loner, or a social butterfly, he fits naturally into most storylines.
Required Custom Content
Darrius Arteaga is not a standalone file. He depends on a specific list of custom content, and skipping items will break his look. Before you download Darrius Arteaga, gather everything below.

Install every package file into your Mods folder before placing the Sim in your world. If even one item is missing, his facial features or clothing may reset to default, and he will not look the way the preview images show.
Version Compatibility and Mod Support
Darrius Arteaga for The Sims 4 works with the base game, so no expansion packs are required. He runs correctly on current patch levels, including the versions released after the 2022 height slider update. Because he relies on script-free custom content, he generally survives game updates without breaking, though major patches can occasionally affect sliders and presets. If you use other mods, keep your Mods folder organized and check for conflicts with height or face-shape overrides.
Players who prefer a hands-off setup often turn to the foxygame.net launcher, which places Darrius Arteaga and his required files into the correct folders in a single click and keeps every component updated automatically. That approach removes the guesswork of tracking down dozens of separate downloads and matching them to the right game version.
How to Install Darrius Arteaga
Follow these steps to add him to your game safely.
- Download the Sim file and every item on the required CC list.
- Open your Documents folder, then Electronic Arts, then The Sims 4, then Mods.
- Create a folder named Darrius Arteaga and move all package files inside it.
- Extract any ZIP or RAR archives before placing files in the Mods folder.
- Launch The Sims 4, open Options, and confirm that custom content and script mods are enabled.
- Open your Library and find Darrius Arteaga in the gallery of saved households.
- Place him in a lot and start playing.
After installation, check his appearance in Create A Sim. If his face looks off, a slider or preset is likely missing. Reinstall the missing item and reload the game.
Tips for Playing Darrius Arteaga
Since his traits are random, consider rerolling them until you get a combination you enjoy. Pair him with a career that matches his style, such as painter, musician, or freelancer. You can also expand his wardrobe with additional clothing CC, but keep the original Everyday outfit intact if you want him to match the reference images.
Final Thoughts
Darrius Arteaga is a well-crafted male Sim for players who appreciate detailed custom content and want a distinctive character without building one from scratch. Download Darrius Arteaga, collect the required CC, and follow the install steps carefully. With the right files in place, he becomes a memorable resident in any Sims 4 world you create.
