The holiday season in The Sims 4 just got a whole lot tastier with the Christmas dessert by ONI Spanish translation. This fan-made mod brings a delightful collection of festive baked goods to your Sims' kitchens, and thanks to this dedicated translation, every menu, recipe name, and cooking interaction appears in clear, natural Spanish. If you have been searching for a way to enjoy ONI's incredible recipe pack without struggling with English text, this add-on is exactly what you need.
What Does This Translation Add to Your Game?
This is not just a simple language swap. The Christmas dessert by ONI Spanish translation for The Sims 4 carefully converts all the user-facing text of the original Christmas dessert mod by ONI into Spanish. That means when your Sim opens the fridge or the oven, they will see familiar Spanish labels for every new dish. The translation covers recipe names, ingredient lists, and even the cooking skill prompts, ensuring a seamless experience for Spanish-speaking players.
Festive Recipes Included
The original mod adds two standout holiday treats that are perfect for winter gatherings:
- Gingerbread cupcake: A classic seasonal favorite. Requires the "Get to Work" expansion pack (EP01). It is suitable for vegetarian Sims and falls under the Baking category. The baking skill level required is 1, making it accessible for novice cooks. All ingredients are optional, but for one serving you need milk (1) and flour (1). For four servings, add sugar (1) to the mix. For eight servings, you will need milk (2), flour (2), and sugar (2).
- Mini red velvet cake: Another holiday hit that also requires "Get to Work." This one is vegetarian-friendly and sits in the Baking category with a skill level of 1. For a single serving, gather milk (1), flour (1), and any cheese (1). For four servings, double the cheese to (1) while keeping milk (2) and flour (2). For eight servings, you will need milk (2), flour (2), and any cheese (2).
Gameplay Compatibility Features
Both recipes are designed to work smoothly with several popular gameplay mechanics. The Christmas dessert by ONI Spanish translation is fully compatible with the 'Simple Living' lot challenge, so your Sims will actually need to have the listed ingredients in their inventory or fridge to cook. Additionally, both dishes support group cooking, which is perfect for holiday parties where multiple Sims can pitch in to prepare the feast.
Requirements and Base Mods
Before you download the translation, you must have the original Christmas dessert mod by ONI installed. The translation is purely a language patch; it does not include the meshes, recipes, or gameplay code. You will also need the "Get to Work" expansion pack (EP01) to access the baking skill and the stove interactions required for these recipes.
Furthermore, to get the full experience, you should consider installing the Spanish translation for ONI's custom grocery store. That add-on provides the Spanish names for all the ingredients, such as milk, flour, sugar, and cheese, ensuring that your shopping list matches the recipe instructions perfectly.
How to Install the Translation
Learning how to install the Christmas dessert by ONI Spanish translation is straightforward. Follow these simple steps to get your holiday baking underway:
- First, download and install the original Christmas dessert mod from the creator's Patreon page. Read the details there carefully because this translation only works when the base mod is present.
- Next, locate the Spanish translation file for the Christmas dessert. It is available on CurseForge under the mod name "ONI Recipe Pack Custom Food by ONI Spanish."
- Also, grab the Spanish translation for the custom grocery store if you want the ingredient names to match.
- Once you have downloaded the translation files, extract them if they are in a ZIP or RAR archive.
- Place the extracted .package and .ts4script files into your Sims 4 Mods folder. The default location is: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
- Make sure that "Script Mods Allowed" is enabled in your game settings under Game Options > Other.
- Restart The Sims 4 completely to load the new files.
If you are using the foxygame.net launcher, the process becomes even easier. The launcher offers a one-click install feature for the Christmas dessert by ONI Spanish translation, pulling the correct files directly into your Mods folder without manual extraction. It also maintains an add-on catalog where you can browse other translations and mods, and it checks for version compatibility to prevent conflicts with your current game build.
Supported Game Versions and Mod Compatibility
This translation is designed for the PC and Mac versions of The Sims 4. It works with the base game as long as you own the "Get to Work" expansion pack. The mod is compatible with the latest game patches, but always verify that your game is up to date before installing new content. The translation does not conflict with other UI mods or custom content, but if you use a mod that overhauls the cooking menu, you may need to test for compatibility.
For players who enjoy the 'Simple Living' challenge, this mod is a dream. It respects the ingredient requirements, so you must stock your fridge with the exact items listed. The translation ensures that the challenge instructions are clear in Spanish, removing any guesswork about what to buy or harvest.
