chingyu Absent Emotion Traits Pack v1.4 - German Translation
German-speaking Simmers finally have a reason to celebrate. The chingyu Absent Emotion Traits Pack v1.4 - German Translation brings one of the most popular trait mods to a wider audience, letting players experience every mood, quirk, and personality shift in their native language. If you have ever skipped a mod because the text felt confusing in English, this localization solves that problem instantly.
What the Absent Emotion Traits Pack Adds to The Sims 4
The original mod by chingyu introduces a set of traits built around emotional absence and unusual reactions. Instead of the standard happy, sad, or angry responses, Sims with these traits process feelings differently. Some stay eerily calm during chaos, while others miss emotional cues entirely. The result is a cast of characters that feels fresh, unpredictable, and occasionally hilarious.
This translation covers every trait name, description, and in-game tooltip. Nothing is left in English, so you can read each trait's effects without breaking immersion. For players who build detailed stories around unusual personalities, that consistency matters a great deal.
Traits Included in the Pack
- Absent-minded reactions that change how Sims respond to social events
- Reduced emotional swings during stressful situations
- Unique moodlets that reflect a detached outlook
- Custom buffs and interactions tied to each trait
Supported The Sims 4 Versions and Mod Compatibility
Before you download chingyu Absent Emotion Traits Pack v1.4 - German Translation, check that your game is up to date. The pack targets recent patches of The Sims 4 and works best with the base game plus common expansion packs. Because trait mods touch core gameplay files, compatibility with other script mods can vary. If you use a large mod folder, test the pack on its own first, then add your other content back gradually.
One helpful option is the foxygame.net launcher, whose add-on catalog keeps chingyu Absent Emotion Traits Pack v1.4 - German Translation alongside your other mods and flags version mismatches before they break a save. That kind of automatic checking saves hours of troubleshooting after a game patch.
Known Compatibility Notes
- Requires the latest Sims 4 patch for trait scripts to load correctly
- Conflicts are rare but possible with other trait-overhaul mods
- German localization files must sit in the correct Mods subfolder
How to Install the German Translation
Installing this localization is straightforward, even for beginners. Follow these steps and your German trait text will appear the next time you launch the game.
- Download chingyu Absent Emotion Traits Pack v1.4 - German Translation from a trusted source.
- Extract the archive if it arrives as a .zip or .rar file.
- Move the .package files into your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder.
- Keep the original English mod installed if the translation is a separate package.
- Enable custom content and mods in Game Options, then restart The Sims 4.
If the German text does not show up, double-check that you did not nest the files inside an extra folder. The game only reads packages placed directly in the Mods directory or one subfolder deep. After a patch, revisit your files to confirm nothing was disabled automatically.
Why German Players Will Appreciate This Localization
Machine translations often produce awkward phrasing that ruins the tone of a trait. This pack avoids that pitfall with natural German wording that matches the spirit of the original mod. Trait descriptions read smoothly, moodlets make sense at a glance, and nothing feels out of place during gameplay.
The translator also welcomes feedback. If you spot a mistake or an awkward phrase, you can report it through the community Discord linked in the original description. That feedback loop keeps future versions polished and accurate.
